Aaron ThomasAcclaim has announced the release of Showdown: Legends of Wrestling for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox videogame systems.
Developed by Acclaim’s Austin studio, the title contains 73 wrestlers in all, and will allow virtual grapplers to compete in a series of Classic Matches, pitting the likes of Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant against each other. Match types include Table, First Blood, Ladder, Steel Cage, Iron Man, Battle Royal, Hardcore, 6 & 8 Man Tag, Elimination and Handicap, with a three-man booth, comprised of Tony Schiavone, Larry Zbyszko and Bobby "The Brain" Heenan, calling all the action.
