Atari had the long-completed version of Driv3r playable at their booth for both PS2 and Xbox. While the game certainly plays well, there are a few flaws that tend to detract from the experience.

The PlayStation 2 version of Driv3r has an odd dithering effect that tends to make the colors rather dull and blurry. Unsurprisingly, there are also framerate issues.

Animation is stiff and very odd; when thrown from a motorcycle, the character assumed the same position as he skids across the grass. Many also had difficulties going through doorways. Normally this is acceptable while a work in progress, but Driv3r has been done for months.

On the plus side, vehicles are well rendered and damage is realistic and impressive. Driv3r is currently set for release later this June.
