Chris-FaylorHip Games today announced a new Garfield game for PlayStation 2. The game is set to be released this fall, about the same time as the feature film of the same name hits DVD.
"Everyone at Hip is excited to be working on a game with such a well-known and well-loved character as Garfield," commented Hip's Olivier Goulon. "Garfield is a leading franchise, and our game's cachet will benefit this year from the concurrent release of the movie."
"Seeing Garfield as an interactive 3D character is extremely captivating," said Garfield's creator, Jim Davis. "We are confident that Hip's know-how will provide for a great Garfield experience for gamers of all ages."
No other details are current available, though further specifics are expected to be revealed at E3.
