Playtonic Games, the studio behind 2017’s crowdfunded title Yooka-Laylee, have returned this week to provide yet a new update to their upcoming remaster: Yooka-Replaylee. Playtonic first announced Yooka-Replaylee last summer, including plans to offer discounts to fans already owning a copy of the original game. After several updates in the next several months, fans now know around when the game is expected to launch.
In time for St. Patrick’s Day, a new trailer for the release window of Yooka-Replaylee was dropped on YouTube. Feel free to watch below:
Aside from the remaster bringing 4K graphics, new/improved gameplay, and tons of new content, the trailer revealed Yooka-Replaylee’s release window for sometime later this year. Unfortunately, no month or season has yet been confirmed for 2025, so it is still anyone’s guess approximately when in 2025 the remaster will launch.
Aside from coming to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, Gematsu also lists both the Nintendo Switch and its successor as among the consoles Yooka-Replaylee will be coming to. However, even Playtonic’s official post about the release window still doesn’t display pre-order links for the Nintendo platforms. Though the release on Nintendo’s consoles may already be presumed, their pre-order links and any related announcements still have yet to come.
What do you think about Yooka-Replaylee releasing sometime in 2025? Does this make you want to make a purchase later this year? Let us know below!
