At a recent press conference, Namco announced more plans for the esteemed Tales series: four individual projects are currently under development; three of them are new installments in the franchise and one is a port of a current PS2 title.

The three new games include an original game for the DS ( Tales of Innocence ), set for release this winter, a PS2 title based on the original Tales of Destiny on the PS1, and a Wii title based on the GameCube's Tales of Symphonia . As for the port, it's the PS2's Tales of Rebirth , getting ported to the PSP. As of now, the release is tentatively scheduled for next year, and this new version will include widescreen support plus a new gallery mode.

This is a beloved series among avid RPG fans, and to hear these games are still going strong is definitely good news.
