If you enjoyed unique titles like Disaster Report and Steamboat Chronicles for the PS2, then you should probably pay attention…and we hope you have a PSP. The developer responsible for those two games, Irem, is apparently moving forward with a project for Sony's portable.

According to a recent interview with Japan's Gpara.com, Irem member Kazuma Kujou revealed that his team was working on a new "sci-fi strategy" game for the PSP. Unfortunately, he offered no details or information on the title, although we assume we can expect a little of each in the coming weeks. But in addition to this one, Kujou mentioned he's also working on new titles in the R-Type and Metal Slug franchises, so if you're not familiar with Irem, you should be. They've got some truly addictive games under their belt.
