Firmware updates are coming in bunches for Sony products lately, especially the PSP. The PS3 has recently had a couple major updates, and while the PSP has only had one truly significant one in the past few months, that doesn't mean you should ignore them.

The latest firmware update, version 3.11, is available starting today. For those of you who like to go online and check out the PlayStation Network, this one adds one little feature you might find useful: the update adds a "game reset" option to the menus for PlayStation Network games, thus making your life just a bit easier when it comes to frustrating titles. This will let you restart the game right from the beginning of the title, whereas previously, you were forced to go all the way back to the PSP main menu.

Just remember, this update only affects PlayStation Network downloads, it does not make any change to your standard UMD-based games.
