In recent months, many big name stores have been scaling back the shelf space given to Sony's fledgling UMD format. The latest to do so is Target Stores, which this week sent a memo out to more than 1400 stores asking managers to remove UMD movie titles in favor of the new HD-DVD and BluRay formats.
Apparently, the company's larger SuperTarget stores will still carry a limited selection of UMD Movie titles.
