Frank-ProvoSales numbers for the UK PSP launch are out, and they're fairly positive. Sony sold approximately 185,000 PSP units in the UK alone last week, during the time period beginning September 1 and ending September 3. We don't have numbers for the rest of Europe yet, but it's estimated that another 150,000 PSPs sold in France, Germany, Spain, and other Euro countries during the same three day time period.
Games are also selling at a brisk pace. Twenty of the 24 launch titles made the UK top 40 video games chart, nine of which landed in the top 10. Taking the number one spot was Ridge Racer, with approximately 38,000 copies sold. Roughly 1 in 5 PSP buyers in the UK took Ridge Racer home.
