Sega Announces US/EU Releases Of Phantasy Star Portable 2

Well damn, I still remember when Phantasy Star Online made the Dreamcast such a hot item.

Today, Sega of America and Sega Europe have announced that Phantasy Star Portable 2 is headed to North America and Europe. The critically acclaimed and uber-popular role-playing series "returns to its roots" by providing fans with an online multiplayer component to go along with the lengthy single-player quest. So just like the good ol' days, you can form alliances and teams with other players and tackle a large number of online adventures. Said Sean Ratcliffe, Sega of America Vice President of Marketing:

"Phantasy Star Portable 2 offers two complete RPG experiences. The compelling single-player action adventure and the newly added expansive online multiplayer mode will surely satisfy RPG fans and fans of the Phantasy Star series."

This iteration takes place three years after Phantasy Star Universe ; the Seed has been defeated but the citizens of the Gurhal System are now threatened with dwindling resources. So now, there's a fresh storyline, an enhanced combat system, and new weapons and character customization options. As for the online, you can log on via Ad-Hoc and Infrastructure modes, which lets you explore and compete with up to 4 players. The game will be available exclusively for the PSP this fall.

Havoc, I used to have that happen all the time, but late last year I finally switched my browser from MS's Internet Explorer over to Mozilla's Firefox, & then added Ad-block…and presto, change-o…..

no more problems with ANY "mutant ad's gone wild"!
