We're still holding out hope for a Devil May Cry 5 announcement from Capcom at the Tokyo Game Show this week, but there may be another title that will be of interest to PSP owners.
The game Last Ranker was revealed earlier as having a Japanese release for Sony's portable some time next year but now, according to Siliconera , Capcom is bringing the game to both North America and Europe, too. It seems the publisher registered a US trademark for Last Ranker and that's proof enough in our book, primarily because Capcom isn't one of those companies that just randomly goes around scoring trademarks for products that never arrive. Anyway, concerning the game, Zig is the main character and he's a fighter seeking to be – shock of shocks – the top-ranked fighter in the world. But this title is technically an RPG, as it follows Zig's life both within and outside the tournament. Developer Image Epoch is at the reigns of this one; they also produced Sands of Destruction and Luminous Arc , so they're fairly well checked out in the role-playing department. Lastly, Capcom has also registered the game with the European trademark database, so it should land on Euro store shelves as well.
This is pretty cut-and-dry, but we'll be sure to look for a Last Ranker announcement concerning North America and Europe at TGS.
