MotorStorm has become one of the most popular and critically acclaimed franchises of this generation – thanks to the new and very solid sequel, Pacific Rift for the PlayStation 3 – so it stands to reason that it's ready to go portable.
As announced over at the PlayStation Blog , MotorStorm: Arctic Edge will be available in UMD format for the current PSP on September 29. But if you're planning to purchase the fancy new PSP Go a few days later on October 1, you can snag this promising off-roader as a launch title for your new handheld. That's right; bring home the PSP Go, log on to the PSN, and pick up Arctic Edge if you so choose; both the UMD and digital download will retail for the standard price of $39.99. Or if you haven't yet jumped into the new generation, you can always get the game for the PS2, which will be available in North America "later this fall." This is one of the more anticipated portable titles of 2009, especially for racing fans, and it's great that Sony is turning it into a PSP Go launch game. As it stands, there should be a great many new games you can play on your new PSP but if you'd rather stick with the one you've got, you still won't miss out.
Also, remember that LittleBigPlanet PSP and Gran Turismo PSP should be ready to "Go," too.
