For those of you who rewarded Media Molecule last year for their charming and innovative platformer, LittleBigPlanet , you're likely planning to snag the portable iteration when it arrives later this year, right?
You'll certainly have incentive, beyond the fact that LittleBigPlanet PSP certainly seems to be a guaranteed winner. As reported by Joystiq , it has been confirmed that LBP PSP will "cross-talk" with the PS3 version of the game. This means that if you've already played the original title, you'll be able to unlock bonus content in the handheld LBP. Now, we don't have any details, nor do we know if this "cross-talk" will work in reverse; i.e., if by playing the PSP version you'll be able to get new stuff in the PS3 version. But we do know that such incentive goes a long way with gamers, so make sure you keep that LBP save file! Also, it seems that Sony is pulling out all the stops for marketing LBP PSP; they've got a "multi-million dollar marketing push" planned, which should go right along with the PSP Go (set to launch in October). They could've used a more aggressive campaign when the first game hit last year, but Sony has been getting better in this category…slowly but surely. They still need to ramp things up, though.
We'll let you know when more info drops for LittleBigPlanet PSP ; it's definitely one of the most anticipated portable titles of the year, and Sackboy and Co. will be able to appeal to a whole new audience.

I very much like this linkage between the portable versions of a game and the Home console version of the game, it's both an extension to each of the games and yet another tie-in/reward for people who invested in both a PSP and a PS3.
off topic but highlander, i posted a response to you in the "Modern Warfare 2 will be 600p sub hd resolution" article, perhaps you should take a look
Saw it. I think we agree, but have different angles on the same thing.
That's good news my only problem with the online aspect for the psp is that I don't have wireless internet. I won't be able to play lbp online for the psp.
FYI
All librarys have free wi-fi as do most new car dealers. You can sit and play all you want or spend $50 for a wireless set up.
Also Gamestops have wireless now to download demos and access the Playstation store.
Good Luck!
@ timster
Thanks imma do that.
That's really sweet news. But, not unexpected. I'll probably break down and get one one of these days. With GT5M and LBP, plus the wipeout games, ff games et al, it's already worth it. Not even to mention the connectivity gained w/ the PS3.
Multimillion dollar ad budget for Sackboy…all other games you'll get..uh, 20 bucks.
Seems Sony is serious of making Sackboy the poster boy for the PS3.
This whole cross talk deal with this game and others is great news for the PS family, it shows that the developers are taking the PSP and PS3 seriously, this is even greater news for tthe consumer as we will have the incentive of wanting to get both versions to unlock more stuff, this also shows that Sony has faith in itself and continues to support the PSP and how Sony never gives up on its consoles (SEGA)anyways I applaud Sony for nudging developers to support them as well.
Thats pretty cool, but I dont have LBP anymore. I may get it again. Someday…
cool
Oh ho ho!
I'm eyeing this game, should be a blast creating levels on the go.
Could actually allow more freedom (of the mind) than the console version. But yes love LBP, endless artistry!
urgh what if ps3 slim comes out near psp go witch one will i buy
