Sony keeps saying that many more great titles are on tap for the PSP, and one that has great potential was just recently revealed over at the official PlayStation blog : it's SOCOM: Fireteam Bravo 3 .
The last iteration launched over two years ago but according to SCEA Senior Producer, Mark Rogers, the team has been "working diligently to improve the SOCOM Fireteam Bravo series." Fans of the popular SOCOM franchise probably know what to expect, but Rogers says they're taking everything "a step further" by letting players "tackle missions with teamwork and firepower." We'll be able to jump online and try our tactical hand there, and Slant Six Games has returned to handle the development duties. Here's the brief concept explanation:
"Join the ominous world of ex-secret operatives as you lead a covert operation to track and interrogate former KGB agent, Alexander Gozorov who is believed to be withholding information on a forthcoming attack with weapons of mass destruction."
Handheld fans will want to pay close attention to the blog in the coming weeks, too, because they're teasing an upcoming trailer. For the most part, the Fireteamn Bravo titles have typically taken a back seat to the main SOCOM installments on home consoles in the past, but PSP owners know the power of these titles. For multiplayer aficionados on the go, there won't be many better options than Fireteam Bravo 3 .

Awesome! I loved the first two fireteams!
I heard that Confrontation was really really disappointing though.
AHHH, more elusive weapons of mass destruction!
Your crazy :D; you would make an excellent mad scientist (complement).
Yes I would, if I didn't get C's in Science back in school.
lol
no way was confrontation 'disappointing' it is a really good online tactical game, which makes people actually use their headsets! love it!
As a Socom fan since 2002, and after seeing what Slant 6 made to the franchise I have high doubts about FB3…
And JoshBall, confrontation IS disappointing. I miss the old Socom 2 online battles.
I really do enjoy Confrontation, but the way Slant Six runs things is horrendous. There is always patches to fix patches that fixed patches. Very sloppy work. I have been playing since the Beta days and there is still alot of work that needs to be done. I do have to admit it is night and day from the unplayable game that was first launched. I am just worried about slant six being able to support both products. There is a desperate need for more maps and content on Confrontation. I hope they learned their lesson because I don't think people will give them another chance. Have the game ready on launch day, especially if the game is online only…
Sorry had to rant 😉
O.o,…my friend just let me keep his psp and games and i was just playing fireteam bravo….so theres a 2?! The game is really awesome xD
