John-ShepardHey, we like colors, too, you know. It isn't just the Japanese who might want a few cosmetic options for their PSP, which is why this commercial has caused hope to return to the minds of North American gamers.
The video, seen at Everyday PlayStation and taken from a Joystiq feed, shows off seven total colors for Sony's sleek portable unit. It has already been available in different colors in Japan but we still only have Piano Black and Ceramic White in the U.S., along with a few Limited Edition PSPs that came with certain bundle packages. We've been hearing a lot of rumors on the PSP side of things, and we expect plenty of big news and announcements at E3 in a few months time. There's also the distinct possibility that we'll see the PSP-4000 or PSP 2 unveiled at the show, which is why new colors may not be out of the realm of the possibility. Sony has already gone on record saying they may have "under-supported" the PSP in the recent past, and they're not about to do that again. So far this year, we really have seen more Sony media related to their handheld and we certainly anticipate more of that as the year rolls on. As for these new colors, who wouldn't want the chance to nab a nice blue or green PSP? Maybe we'll start seeing that commercial on North American television some time soon…?
We'll definitely keep an eye on any new developments concerning the PSP, and while new colors don't exactly qualify as groundbreaking news, it's still interesting.
They should bring the white ps3 stateside dammit!
OMG I TOTALLY FUCKING AGREE!!!! (sorry for the bad language) but god I would love a white PS3. That milky white smooth Dualshock 3 controller. Oh boy would I like to have that in my hands. It just looks so great.
The Yakuza 3 themed PS3 isn't so bad either. I wonder if I can find a way to get that somehow. Hmm…
Nope hate to burst anyone's bubble but they're not coming to America(yet?)If you look at the commercial you'll see Japanese at the bottom and on top of that the way the say PlayStation at the end of the commercial is the way it's always done at the end of the Japanese commercials
They need more colors for everything that has to do with PS3 and PSP… Only black for the PS3 and then three colors for the PSP.
Nintendo had a bajillion color choices for their gameboy color…
I don't know why they wouldn't bring it to the states. I guess Sony doesn't realize how many more systems they would push out of retail stores if we had alot more color variety. I am not talking about having with any bundles either. Stand alone system with different colors to chose from. I really do hope that they do bring them colors stateside that green PSP will match the color of my car lol.
Doesn't matter black is always my choice when it comes to color options. Plus my 1000 is obviously the Piano Black palette.
They should bring one VERSION of the PSP stateside, then I'd be able to buy one in peace knowing I got something that won't be changed in like 5 months.
I have gotten to the point to where I am afraid to buy any game system from Sony, because in a month or two they might come out with a new version ect… They have done this a lot with the Psp, and the Ps3 over the last couple of years. I would like to buy a Psp but I'm afraid as soon as I do they will come out with a better one, or a cheaper price on one, and the same is true with the Ps3. TOO MANY CHANGES TOO OFTEN!!!!!!!
It's pretty much going near the whole 2 iPods released in one year thing. Well…I am exaggerating a lot there…but I just hope it really doesn't go like that for the PSP. I mean if it's a PSP that's completely new and not just some little upgrade and stuff…then it's ok.
Light blue…yellow…green…red…black…and white. I like the white one though even though we already have that. But I don't think there is a white PSP 3000 in the U.S. or is there?

I have a Black orginal PSP, a white PSP – 2000, and a Radient Red PSP – 3000 😀 The PSP – 4000 / 2 comes out. I'll probably get that one aswell 🙂
As for the PS3, all the major consoles have to be black 🙂 they just look better. It's like the PS3 and 360. Which one is black and just happens to be better? :p
