We're keeping a close watch on the Square-Enix news coming out of their DKS3713 private party, and here's some of the latest:
The highly anticipated PSP title, Dissidia: Final Fantasy has been confirmed for a December release in Japan. We still don't know when it'll arrive in North America, but perhaps you can use Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII as a possible measuring stick… Next up, it has also been confirmed that the PlayStation 3 exclusive, Final Fantasy Versus XIII , will enjoy a simultaneous worldwide release, but sadly, we have no idea when that might be. No release date has been provided for the game just yet, but we're hoping it's not too far off; it's yet another promising-looking FF game for the new generation. In fact, they just showed off a brand new trailer for Versus XIII at the event, which we expect to see pop up on the Internet very soon. Lastly, if you want to keep an eye on the action over the course of this weekend, you can try this translated live blog of the event.
Obviously, if anything big arrives – 'cough FFVII remake or sequel 'cough' – we'll be sure to tell you. We won't keep it to ourselves, honest! Hell, we'll type it so fast, our fingers will bleed… Stay tuned!
