The Ratchet and Clank franchise has always been one of the most critically acclaimed on earth, although sometimes it goes unnoticed (unfortunately) by hardcore gamers. Well, fans of the series know full well how much fun these titles can be, which is why they've all been waiting for more news on Secret Agent Clank .

Well, for starters, you can check out our preview and get a better idea of what to expect. However, if you've read it before, you might notice something new: the release date. Up until today, Secret Agent Clank had nothing but the very vague "TBA" date. But thanks to a post by PR specialist Brian Keltner over at the official PlayStation blog, we have learned that this promising handheld game will be available on June 17. That's only five days after Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots , but we know you'll be pulling all-nighters on that one. And when it's done, you'll want another fantastic title for your handheld, right? The dry-witted miniature robot will provide a super fun adventure; you can bet your bottom dollar on that.

The PSP has already had two unbelievably great games this year – God of War: Chains of Olympus and Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII – and SAC could be the third "AAA" title in the first half of 2008. No wonder Sony's portable is burning up the sales charts lately…
