We've been waiting and waiting, and as you all know, good things come to those who wait. Many still consider Final Fantasy VII to be the best RPG in video game history, and while the much-rumored PS3 remake doesn't appear to be happening, the prequel is scheduled to arrive in North America on March 25.
That's right, Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core for the PSP has finally been dated for this country, and handheld owners will get their hands on one of the most anticipated PSP titles ever this March. We'll be seeing many of our favorite characters again – including Cloud, of course – as the game follows the adventures of Zack, a member of SOLDIER who held a minor role in Final Fantasy VII for the PS1. It's a must for any fan of the legendary role-playing franchise, so mark your calendars!
As for all you next-gen-ers hoping for a remake of their favorite classic, no matter what the circumstantial evidence says, Square-Enix refuses to confirm any such project. But we can always hope they'll come to their senses, and in the meantime, we get Crisis Core ! Ain't nothin' wrong with that.
