Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron Gettin’ A Party

If the title of a product has "Star Wars" in it, it's a fair guess that it will be a relatively big deal, especially in terms of retail sales. Sony isn't about to pass on such a massive fan base for one of their most important PSP titles of the year, so of course, they're getting ready to celebrate the launch of Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron in fine fashion.

According to a recent blog post by Adam Kahn, Senior PR Manager for LucasArts, the big-time developer/publisher is teaming up with Sony to deliver a public party for the big game's launch. It'll be Tuesday, October 9 at the Sony PlayStation Store at the Metreon in San Francisco; the festivities will begin at 6:00 p.m. If you do show up, you'll be able to participate in a wide variety of Star Wars-themed fun, and you might even win some cool prizes! And of course, you can pick up a copy of the game, or if you don't yet have a PSP, you can nab the Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron PSP Entertainment Pack. If you just want to show up and try out the game – it'll be running on several kiosks in the store – feel free.

Hey, Star Wars fans, how can you possibly pass this up when Darth Vader himself will make an appearance? No, it's probably not James Earl Jones, but whatever.
