More big PSP news from the Sony press conference- they have just unveiled a brand new satellite navigation package, due for release in early 2008 in PAL territories. This excellent feature, dubbed Go!Explore, will boast the very latest in map data from market leaders TeleAtlas and NavNGo and will also include a GPS receiver and a UMD containing your chosen maps.
Furthermore, it's one diverse little program. Go!Explore will support 11 audio languages right out of the box on every geographic version: English, German, French, Dutch, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, and Finnish. At all times, this system will have continuous access to new maps and "POIs" (Points of Interest), which can be purchased – eventually – on the PlayStation Network. One add-on will be the Car Adapter and Car Mount accessories, which should be bundled together in one tidy package. At this time, 7 geographic versions have been confirmed- UK/Ireland, Iberia, Germany/Austria/Switzerland, Italy, Benelux, France, and Scandinavia.
They have not yet mentioned a price; we'll update this story immediately if they do.
