Gabriel Stanford-ReisingerPlayStation is lowering the bar to get into the current generation of PlayStation with a rental service debuting in the UK. No word if it will go beyond the country, though.
The service, spotted on PlayStation Direct UK’s website notes leasing consoles for short monthly stints or longer year-long periods. Starting at £10.99 for slim Digital Edition, this isn’t a bad deal, though, the concept of it also feels bizarre as you’ll need games to play on it.
It’s not just consoles that are getting this treatment, either. Accessories such as the PlayStation Portal or DualSense Edge also have low monthly subscription options. All of the leased consoles and accessories include lifetime warranties.
