Monster Hunter Wilds More Than Doubles All-Time Simultaneous Player Count

In a genuinely impressive debut by any standards, the newly released Monster Hunter Wilds had hit 738K concurrent Steam players a little over a half hour from it unlocking for play. This is up from Monster Hunter World’s all-time count of 334k, and the previous mainline title in the series Monster Hunter Rise’s 231k.

As of this writing, two hours and five minutes post release, it’s almost at 988k alone. There aren’t numbers for the PSN player-base just yet, unfortunately, but this is, in what is probably both a slight understatement and likely a good sign, even for the already eternally popular Capcom franchise.

Monster Hunter Wilds releases today on the PlayStation 5, PC, and the Xbox Series X and S.
