Matt HillA fresh update has arrived for Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP, adding a feature many fans have been asking for: Nightmare Mode. The game mode follows a previous update in February that introduced a photo mode, allowing players to capture the acrobatic limb-sawing combat in all its glory.
The new nightmare mode is a new difficulty mode added to the game, but to unlock this, players will first need to clear the original mode of RePOP, having rescued all survivors. Having done this Nightmare Mode will become available through the main menu.
The new game mode has given every enemy a name, making them tougher whilst adding behavioral changes to certain enemies, making them even tougher to deal with. On the plus side, players will be able to unleash Juliet’s full potential as a legendary zombie hunter by getting their hands on newly introduced items that enhance Juliet’s abilities in-game.
- High-Power Dumbbells – Increases attack power
- Speed Armband – Increases attack speed
- Winged Sneakers – Increases movement speed
- Power Engine – Increases chainsaw movement speed
- Smart Chip – Speeds up Sparkle Hunting effects
- Chain Motor – Speeds up slicing QTEs
- High-Speed Loader – Increases blaster fire rate
- Special Backpack – Increases max ammo capacity
The High-Power Dumbbells and Speed Armband are made available at the start of Nightmare Mode, while the rest are available to purchase through the in-game shop. After clearing Stage 6 of the campaign, players will also be rewarded with the legendary zombie hunter skill Aura of Legend, which increases Juliet’s Chainsaw size and attack range.
