Gabriel Stanford-ReisingerArrowhead Game Studio’s Helldivers 2 has breached 12 million sales since its release in early February. This impressive number was helped in no small part due to its day-and-date release to PC, as well.
Interim CEO Hiroki Totoki revealed during its just released fiscal year earnings report that it surpassed the record set by God of War Ragnarok, which means that Helldivers 2 is Sony’s best-selling published game in its history.
It did have a rough patch earlier this month when Sony was demanding PC players link their PSN to continue playing, only to backtrack at the last minute after intense backlash, leading to its PC reviews slowly but surely recovering from the controversy.
