Playstation Plus

It’s time to see what’s coming next month and it’s looking pretty good. These free Playstation Plus games will have you exploring a family mystery and then running a kitchen without burning it down.

What Remains of Edith Finch

What Remains of Edith Finch is a collection of strange tales about a family in Washington state. As Edith, you’ll explore the colossal Finch house, searching for stories as she explores her family history and tries to figure out why she’s the last one in her family left alive. Each story you find lets you experience the life of a new family member on the day of their death, with stories ranging from the distant past to the present day.

Explore the mystery of the Finch family in this interactive story. The game released in 2017 and did well critically. It also won several awards.

Overcooked

Overcooked is a chaotic couch co-op cooking game for one to four players. Working as a team, you and your fellow chefs must prepare, cook and serve up a variety of tasty orders before the baying customers storm out in a huff. Sharpen your knives and dust off your chef’s whites, there isn’t mushroom for error and the steaks are high in these crazy kitchens!

On the other end of the genre spectrum is the first Overcooked. Released in 2016, Overcooked is a cooking game that focuses on team play. Couch co-op is encouraged as the game can get quite chaotic.

If you haven’t already, make sure to download this months free games before May 6th. The free Playstation Plus games for May will be available next week on May 7th.

What do you think of the selection for next month? Will you be downloading either of these?

Neither of these really interest me, though i’ll certainly add them to the library. I’ve got to say that i’m somewhat disappointed at the games that have been offered so far, since they’ve stopped giving games away for 3 other systems i would expect either a better selection or an entirely new freebie system.

I agree. I hate to sound ungrateful though. And we’re still getting free games.

I don’t feel like you or anyone else is being ungrateful, we pay for this service.

I’ve seen others in other communities calling people spoiled or entitled and i just laugh at the statements. I mean when you lease a car you almost always get free car washes and several other minor services, this to me feels like the same thing.

I wish they’d come up with a token/coupon system. These are the free games were offering or instead you can use these tokens for some specified amount off of any games you want, and they should stack as well. Just an idea off the top of my head.

Wow! Have been meaning to get back in the loop with psx for way too long! I already have What Remains of Edith Finch on PC, but naturally it doesn’t run so smooth even on a $1500 gaming laptop because welcome to real PC gaming. I’ll start fresh on the PS4 pro version that oddly run better. If I ever have time that is. Need to finish God of War before Rage 2 is out! Nice to be back !!
