Ben-DutkaNobody talks about PlayStation Vita anymore, but that's because there isn't really anything to talk about.
The almost complete lack of compelling exclusive software is just plain depressing. This is one awesome game-centric unit and its fate is regrettable. It's hard to get a developer to produce a top-quality AAA production for a platform that isn't going anywhere.
But what if you could turn to any studio in the world and say, "make this game for Vita," and they'd make it happen? What is the one game that might revitalize interest in the flagging platform? Or, if you think it would take more than just one title (and it probably would), name a handful of games that might restore confidence in Sony's powerful portable. Right now, the only games Vita seems to get are those that are also available on PS4 and PS3. Exclusive titles are few and far between and they're usually either small bite-size downloadables or extremely niche Japanese games.
Do you think another Uncharted could make a difference? Golden Abyss was pretty freakin' amazing from a portable standpoint. Then again, maybe Vita hasn't done so well because it lacks some sort of identity. The PSP was home to a huge number of great RPGs, for instance, and a lot of so-called "old-fashioned" experiences you couldn't get on the new consoles. I think Vita spent far too much time trying to be exactly like its bigger brothers and that was a mistake. No matter how powerful a handheld will be, it'll never be a home console and it shouldn't try to replicate that experience. You want quality on-the-go entertainment and that's a very different thing. The idea that someone will sit there and play the Vita when the PS4 is in the same room was never a viable argument, in my eyes.
So, what so you? Which games could really help?
If only the majority of the publishers took the Vita seriously. Sony's lineup of killer games wasn't enough. Nintendo faced a similar problem with the 3DS. Once they slashed the price and compelled third parties to support it, the platform grew.
I believe that's the problem the Vita always has had. Big time publishers never took the platform serious enough. And when they did throw the system a bone they were usually a lacking PS3 port or they were a total half hearted effort (CoD)
Anyway, it would seem the system is growing in Japan at a fast rate. Hopefully this stymies increased Japanese support.
I'm hoping for an exclusive Bloodborne Vita game.
Chances don't seem ridiculous considering the PS4 game did well in Japan, so I read.
I also want a Motorstorm.

A well known multiplayer franchise. Really sad Monster Hunter has been focusing on Nintendo the PSP entries were quite good.
Nintendo has exclusive rights now. So blame capcom.
Toukiden kiwami is like monster hunter, I actually like it more in most aspects it's also cross play
Grand theft auto, god of war,a new burnout paradise style game maybe, i can't believe for the life of me though that a gta or gow game hasn't made it onto this device yet
Probably cause PSP got a pretty good pair of GoW games, and since they can be played on the Vita RaD was like "Eh, they're enough." As for GTA, well I mean, there are very few consoles for R* to bother making one.
It's not the same, no one's gunna buy a vita to play psp games or older crap that's already been out
Rogue Galaxy HD, and other PS2 ports. Although that's really just my preference. Some indie games that are on the PS4 would really be nice, like Transistor.
It'd take more than just good games to revive the Vita. It certainly needs them, but at this point it'd also need a hell of a marketing campaign and a bloody large price cut on the memory cards. Those things are still a scam.
Or we could just get a PS4 Vita bundle for like $500 already.
Uncharted Golden Abyss, Killzone Mercenary, FIFA, Lumines, Metal Gear Solid, Persona 4 Golden etc. The quality that you have on a handheld. Phenomenal…
Not sure if we are going to get any Vita AAA exclusives anymore. More likely more PS4/Vita, crossplay or Indies.
Still glad I got mine. Recommended. Sitting on the bed playing Killzone Mercenary multiplayer. Fantastic. Loved that more than the PS4 version.
Crisis Core:Final Fantasy 7 was the game that got me to purchase a PSP. I would say that an exclusive Devil May Cry 5 and Onimusha would do the trick.

Honestly, it 's too late. As much as I love the PS Vita, Sony doomed this device to be a niche handheld. Nothing can really "save" it which is a shame.
It's sad because if Sony really TRIED they could have made this handheld something great! Instead they just let it rot. What went wrong?
They launched the Vita for $250 with $50+ memory cards knowing full well the 3DS flopped at that price (flopped so hard Nintendo slashed the price quickly). They ignored it at E32012 (as well as E32013 and E32014). They killed first-party support two years into the system's life (sure, they'll still fund small niche titles but nothing AAA anymore). They took FOREVER to drop the price despite people constantly begging them to!
Again, it's too late. It's Sony's fault this handheld never took off. It's Sony's fault publishers don't take it seriously and allow it to be filled with ports. It's a shame.
But to answer the question, I think Sony should fund new unique titles that will only work with the PS Vita. Tearaway was one. Severed looks like another great one.
I think they're a better fit than Uncharted truthfully because they feel more handheld oriented than console oriented.
Oh yeah, maybe if they remade Final Fantasy VII exclusively for PS Vita. That would push some sales. 😛 😉
Easy, Type 0 (instead of PS3 ports), Monster Hunter and Monster Hunter Frontier, Games like Strider would have been better here than on home consoles… Remote Play needs to be SPOT ON. There are a lot of already existing games/franchises that would aid the Vita, the problem is that Sony keeps trying to turn a portable into a Home Console, but that's just it. It's a PORTABLE FIRST!
Give the gamers short and sweet, easy to hop into games, with the OCCASIONAL hearty home port, and refined Remote Play and the Vita would skyrocket in sales… period. It would help also if the games had some star power (classic/popular franchises… For example I thoroughly enjoyed Tenchu: Shadow Assassins, and Metal Gear Peace Walker, and I heard Gravity Rush and Soul Sacrifice were good too).

Un-cancel Megaman Legends 3 and Megaman Universe
Enhance the store to include all and not some PSone Classics for purchase.
Do the same for and enable PS2 software functionality with Vita.
And again… MOAR AAA PORTABLE EXPERIENCES!!! 😛

For me, regardless of how possible/impossible:

4) Hearthstone .. 😀
Hearthstone would be dandy. I'm somewhat shocked Blizz hasn't made it for the consoles, yet.
monster hunter with the dual analogue sticks or other games that use those analogue like jak or rachet or burnout or god of war would all be great that was made for the vita only to drive its appeal
