Final State of Play of the Year is Next Tuesday

It’s been an interesting year for PlayStation. One of definite change. Sony’s absence from some of the bigger gaming conventions this year has made things rather interesting. E3 felt entirely different this year without their presence and they decided to take a much different approach to communication. May marks the first month that Sony used a different way to spread upcoming news with their State of Play. It’s been a trip. Things started out alright, if a little bland, but has recently picked up some momentum. And it seems to be working. While they have been notably absent from a lot of big set pieces, the PlayStation brand has done quite well for itself.

Next Tuesday, December 10th, marks the final episode of the year for State of Play. Starting at 6AM PST/ 9AM EST, Sony promises some news about upcoming games releases and footage. They were quick to remind us that there won’t be anything for the PS5. Hopefully we’ll see some of that soon. You can watch it on YouTube, Twitch, Twitter, and Facebook. The stream will last about twenty minutes, as is par for the course so far.

The last episode aired in September and announced a decent selection of new games as well as a new PS4 system. There isn’t really any hint on what’s to come on this episode but it seems like it should be good. There’s plenty to look forward to next year.
