Does Ben need any help with reviewing games? I can email you a resume and list of references upon request. 😉

I hear ya, Arvis. I'd love to become a writer, myself. I'm too wrapped up into my current career, however. I feel like I would love spending my days in research and writing, whether it's gaming or something else. With a mortgage and a baby any day now, I can't really responsibly chase a career change. lol!
P.s. for additional writing to what Ben does, I recommend the nice chaps over at Velocity Gamer. They often provide a good read.
World does a lot of work there, I believe.
Thanks for the props underdog, we've got a few PSXE members writing and things are just keep getting better as we grow 🙂
Well Arnold, whatever the reason, it was good to see you back in electronic print with a stellar review of a stellar game. Your review of GT5 was absolutely spot on, and I have no doubt that this review is equally spot on.
The Eurogamer review p*ssed me off something hardcore. I can't believe that they were bashing it for not being what they wanted it to be, rather than for what it strives to be... Ugh.
Tell me about it, Lawless. I don't mind if they scored the game a 7 as long as it is fully justified. But really? Taking away points from the game because it's a tad too cinematic? Because it's not open-world? Because you don't upgrade your stuff like in RPGs? In that case, why don't they review another game instead? Uncharted has always been like that since the first game came out in 2007. What a bunch of dolts, really, to completely lose the plot.
Yet, they gave Deus Ex a perfect 10....
Sure, Deus Ex is a good game... but I mean.. UC3 an 8? Credibility... huh... guess it's a subjective thing, really.
A lot of regulars are complaining about the site in general over at Eurogamer. For many, this review is just another piece of the pie. I checked out some members who are bemoaning the site that have been members with thousands of posts since 2004, in some cases.
Something weird is going on there.
The exact same reviewer gave Brink an 8 as well.... dude's f**k*d up.

Lawless, Eurogamer is full of itself. You complaint that they bash the game because it's not what *they* expect it to be is a mirror of one of the main complaints I've expressed in the past with respect to their reviews of other games. Frankly, I still believe that they have an agenda there, and it's a ridiculous one.
Uncharted is not a shooter..it's more of a Action/Adventure game than a shooter
I'm with you! I have been avoiding everything I could about this game since it's announcement. When that baby drops in my slim next Tuesday - yeah! I want to be beaten over the head with every surprise and amazing visual. Looking forward to leaving my cave very soon.....
