Web PlayStation Store Adds Sorting And Filtering Function

PlayStation Store

Sony’s strong suit isn’t in its PlayStation Store design. After its redesign of the Store, fans were not amused. So much so, some would use a hyperlink to reach the old design, which in and of itself, wasn’t good either. But, hey, it had a lot of features simply not there in new design.

It seems like Sony is trying to mend that as they’ve just added a sorting and filtering option. This means you can sort games by a game’s name, popularity, or price and sort them by genre, type, and such.

This was in its old design, but omitted from the new design for one reason or another. Hopefully, we’ll see more additions to make its web version of the PlayStation Store more useable, but we’d refrain from holding your breath.

What do you think? Is the addition of sorting and filtering a step up? Tell us below!

Konami Pulls Out Of E3 2021, Key Projects In “Deep Development”

Konami

Earlier this month, a list of developers dropped. These devs are slated to appear at this year’s digital-only E3 2021. Among the likes of SEGA, Square Enix, Capcom, Ubisoft and more, was Konami. Key word there is was.

Since the list dropped, the Metal Gear Solid developer left announced it won’t be presenting at the event citing a lack of content and timing as the main contributors for the decision. They did assure fans, though, that they are in “deep development” of key projects. What those projects are is anyone guess.

They closed off the statement by mentioning that they have great respect for ESA and that they know this year will be a success.

What do you think? What do you hope to see at E3 2021? Tell us below!

Day One Returnal Patch Eats Up 10GB

Returnal

Housemarque’s PS5-exclusive, Returnal, is released at this point and while we’re sure fans are used to it, the title’s day one patch is quite beefy. Sadly, there isn’t any sort of patch notes that can be shared, as Sony, for some reason, didn’t seem to think that was a feature people wanted on the PS5.

The patch primarily composes of performance enhancements, AV polishing, and bug fixes. Ready to hear how much space that patch eats up? This day one patch will set fans back a modest, yet sizable 10GB of space.

It isn’t ideal, but if you’re looking to play the game in the best possible manner, keeping it up to date is a good start.

What do you think? Will be playing Returnal? Tell us below!

Sony Absent From List Of E3 2021 Participants

E3 2021

In an absolutely unsurprising turn of events, it appears as though Sony is not making an appearance at the digital-only event, E3 2021. While the event isn’t boasting the console manufacturer, it does have a slew of notable developers.

Konami, Square Enix, SEGA, Take-Two Interactive, Capcom, and many more are all confirmed to appear during this year’s digital event.

Sony’s exclusion isn’t really a shock, they haven’t been fans of E3 for a while, having missed 2019 and intended on skipping last year’s event before it was eventually cancelled.

Their excuse for skipping 2020 was largely due to the “vision” of the event not fitting what they wanted while shining a spotlight on their next generation.

What do you think? Will Sony’s absence make a world of a difference for E3 2021? Tell us below!
