Rumor: PlayStation Phone Reviewed, Full Specs Leaked

Well, it's your weekly – …er…daily? – PlayStation Phone update, and this one is courtesy of a Chinese website, which apparently got their hands on the intriguing new mobile unit.

As Kotaku reports, it's actually a review of sorts, and it boasts a lot of pertinent technical information. This means the final specs might actually be as follows: a 1GHz Snapdragon QSD8255 processor and Qualcomm Adreno 205 GPU, which gives the phone a frames-per-second count of nearly 60. It boasts 512MB RAM, 512MB ROM, and slots for a microSD card, SIM card and micro USB cable. The phone can produce 854 x 480 resolution on its 4-inch screen, and there's a 5 megapixel camera. …whew. Maybe a few of our more technically savvy members can translate all that for the number-impaired. Anyway, perhaps the coolest part is that games will be launched via the "PlayStation Pocket" application. The unit is automatically in "phone" mode but once you enable the aforementioned app, the display changes and you'll see Sony's trademark XMB, which would sorta make it look like the PSP.

Yeah, sounds pretty damn sweet. Maybe we'll have to petition Sony for one, just so we can do a little review of our own. …sadly, I am so not qualified to review freakin' phones. Mine's over 5 years old and I really don't care. 😉
