Some might believe that because it'll only be available on the PSP, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker would be lacking in anticipation and popularity.
And yet, the game continues to dominate headlines. The latest is a much-appreciated announcement from Sony Computer Entertainment America: they have announced the exclusive limited edition "Big Boss" Pack in honor of the impending Peace Walker launch. Available at GameStop locations in the US on June 8 – the day of the game's release – this appealing bundle will sell for $199.99 and come with premium content that the fans will adore. The "Camouflage" PSP-3000 system, inspired by the Central American setting for the game, will be a big highlight; all told, the "Big Boss" package will offer:
So for all you hardcore MGS fans, this pack ought to be high on your priority list. Added Bob McKenzie, senior vice president of merchandising for GameStop:
"With a vast lineup of chart-topping, AAA titles, PlayStation and Konami have long been synonymous with compelling gameplay experiences. As the leading video game and entertainment software retailer, we saw this as a huge opportunity to offer ultimate Metal Gear Solid fans something truly unique. When coupled with exclusive content like the 'Camouflage' PSP-3000 system and carrying case, the 'Big Boss' Pack is sure to give gaming enthusiasts something to look forward to this summer."

This is the best news i heard all day. I wanted to get this and thought it was only available in Japan. Ordering from Amazon Japan would cost more then a new PS3. This is much better then that nasty metallic green PSP bundle.
Looks like ill be getting a new PSP after all 🙂
i just pre-ordered this from gamestop! i love the camo.
Wow.. Now I have zero excuse. Time to pick up a PSP.
is the PSP3000 one of the ones that can be modded to do all that nifty stuff?
Are you really asking that here?
I hear this game will have an optional install too. Gettin kind of big for its tiny portable britches.
actually the install in mandatory. The size of the install is the optional part. I think its between 300mb and 800mb.
either way, it shoulda been a PS3 game.
I agree but im happy to add another great PSP game to my collection. 🙂
And besides, who can resist a Camo PSP!? I sure can't. ha!

But you will lose it all the time because you won't be able to see it 😉
Touche'.
awww, i already posted this in the other article. lol
hmm… I would love to buy this but, I have a psp 1000 and it works fine. Plus PSP2 is supposedly going to be announced at E3
I have a 1000 too. Ill buy this and if the PSP2 does get announced, I'll Ebay my 1000 then get the PSP2 later on…if its even announced.
Yup. I'm waiting on word of the PSP2 in order to pick this up.
well considering I've only had my psp for about 16 months I won't be able to go this route, but lucky for all those who can. Great package at a very good price.
its MGS were talking about here, honestly it could be on the N64 and it still would have a flock hanging on its every move!
thats actually a nice bundle, sonys getting better at limited editions……… slowly.
I sure hope that this game helps boost PSP sales.
I upgraded to a PSP Go in anticipation of this game. It would've been great if they made this bundle a custom PSP Go with ALL of the PSP Metal Gear games (even the Acid ones…) installed on the system from the get go.
Why not sell that for $250 and watch the sales come pouring in?
Thats a fricken sweet package. and if i didn't have money tied up for other games i would sooo get that (because i dont have a psp)
but with all the psp2 rumours, i dont wanna dive in and then be ripped off. im gd with my ps3 (and ive got pokemon heart gold for DS, YAY!!!)
However, my main concern for special editions is GT5. Any news on that Ben? or do we know nothing more than the mysterious 3 disc edition…

Big Boss pack? ok, salute once again to The Boss from Big Boss, highly anticipating the true MGS5 game ;D
Very nice bundle. So nice, that I preordered on the way home yesterday and am cancelling the "Spirited Green" bundle from AMZ.
I happened to find MSG:Portable Ops (original cover and manual) in the store while looking around and bought it for $25. Then while checking out the PSN updates last night, remembered the Ops/Ops+/Digital Comic bundle for $30. Need to decide whether I really want a UMD or take up space on mem stick. Any opinions on Ops+ or the Digital Comic?
I too canceled my pre-order of the "Spirited Green" bundle from Amazon in favor of the "Camo Big Boss" bundle. Pre-ordered it from Gamestop.com last night, I can't wait to see it up close.
I'm tempted to sell my PSP-2000 for this bundle as I'm a bit of an MGS fanboy. I probably won't end up doing that because I need the money for other games I'm looking forward to and other stuff but this does sound like a great bundle.
