The Dead or Alive series has an interesting reputation amongst gamers. Some see it is as little more than titillation via mediocre gameplay while others insist the titles are always enjoyable.
Well, if you fall into the latter camp and you're a proud PSP owner, perhaps you'll pick up Dead or Alive: Paradise when it arrives…that is, if it breaks Japanese borders. According to Examiner.com , the latest edition of Famitsu has lifted the lid on this new handheld DoA iteration and no, it seems you won't be battling for standard fighting-game supremacy. Apparently, this is more like the Dead or Alive: Xtreme titles on the Xbox and Xbox 360; you'll simply be participating in a variety of mini-games featuring the curvaceous ladies we all know and pretend not to love. Of course, we're hoping there's a little more to it than just mini-games; Xtreme let you do stuff like go to a casino and hop across colorful cushions in the pool, but at least it was about volleyball. If all we're doing is pressing a button really fast to make a girl grab the flag in a beach version of CTF, I have a feeling many will pass on this game. But who knows? When you're on the go, perhaps you just need a guilty pleasure and something that can be considered "bite-size comfort food for the soul." I made that up.
We'll let you know when more information comes to light for Dead or Alive: Paradise but in the meantime, cross your fingers that it'll see an eventual release in the US and Europe.

And I bet the next article we will hear about this is going to be about how they programed it so they jiggly clevage is more realistic than ever.
"handheld paradise" LOL
I played DoA 2 on my brother's PS2 when he first got it, and it was alright, but I really haven't seen a need to play any other game in this series.
'Some see it is as little more than titillation via mediocre gameplay while others insist the titles are always enjoyable.'
i saw titties are always enjoyable..
LOL
ok nvm.
I'd say it'll be more than one bite.
Awesome!! This series is awesome but I only played the last one for about an hour before I got bored.
AHA, somebody out there is sure to
"Get jiggy with it"
a rehash on handheld, does that mean they'r running low on cash?
Itagaki leaves and they put DOA on the PSP. Oh snap! He would be rolling in his grave if he was you know… dead.
And let all not kid ourselves, no one played DOA for its horrible fighting engine. At least this will be all that much closer to what the series has always wanted to be… Sexy Beach.
Not that there is anything wrong with that….obviously.
😉
finally porn has gone portable 😉
never played a dead or alive title so i might give this a shot once its out.
but if theres one PSP game im really dying for its the duke nukem game.
havent had news on that in ages.
that and a new syphon filter game, new twisted metal game, new GOW gAme, new ratchet and clank game, and uncharted PSP would be so cool!
yea, that should last me for a few weeks.
With it's integrated web browser, the PSP has had that since the get go my friend.
yea, thats true but its hard to hide the evidence.
at least with this you could say its just a game.
i wonder if you can play this game with one hand…
ehh, i have yet to buy a PSP… and i don't think i ever will so, let me know when the girls decide to grace the PS3…
Well, there is only one analog nub. I guess it depends on whether you can remap the buttons.
And, yes, I took his question too seriously. On purpose.
Fane! Leave that nub alone! Good grief, this is a family website!
😉
A hint of DOA on PS3 possibility?
