It'll be one of the first PSP Go titles you should definitely consider adding to your new collection, or you can always pick it up on UMD for the old PSP.
Sony has announced that MotorStorm: Arctic Edge is now available in North America; it's the third title in the critically acclaimed off-road racing franchise and the first to go portable (the first two entries were for the PS3). Just about everything we've seen of this game has been impressive from a handheld standpoint, and bear in mind that both MotorStorm installments to date have been excellent. SCEA vice-president of product marketing, Scott Steinberg, said Arctic Edge "takes full advantage of PSP functionality by bringing exciting features such as eight-player online and ad-hoc modes, photo mode, and the ability to create a custom music playlist to suit your driving mood." Oh, and let's not forget about the relevant stats and features:
This is only one of several promising PSP titles slated for the all-important fourth quarter; others include LittleBigPlanet PSP and Gran Turismo PSP , and looking down the road, there's the guaranteed gem, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker . But for now, it's always good to have a quality racing game when a new machine releases; it's almost a requirement.

Custom music! Hell yeah!
Love Motorstorm, best off-road game there is, period!
Just a fun fun series. Sadly this won't have online, wait or will it?
Anyway I will so get this! Perfect for Winter time
Re: Scarecrow, your an idiot. Can't you read at all, seriously people need to start reading or at least gathering their information before they speak. Otherwise, you would look plain stupid. If you did not read it specifically says that there is infastructure/ad-hoc also known as Multiplayer. Other than that, this game is going to be sick.

OMG I DIDN'T READ THE ARTICLE!
Right, because I'm supposed to know what ad-hoc means?
Note: That's why I asked "or will it?"
PS: Stop making yourself look like the idiot
I don't understand how I'm looking like the idiot because according to PSX's Article it says "â¢8-player wireless ad-hoc multiplayer, and infrastructure multiplayer." Now I really don't get how I'm the idiot.
P.S. Key Word is Multiplayer

Don't forget this line in there too.
"takes full advantage of PSP functionality by bringing exciting features such as eight-player online and ad-hoc modes…"
Looking forward to kicking some ass in this game. Yeah.
Ad hoc: Playing wirelessly, offline with other psps.
Infrastructure Mode: Playing online.
No sweat, guys. It's not always obvious which psp games support online play. Although a lot support ad hoc, only few support infrastructure mode, my favorite being Wipeout Pulse.
Ad-hoc is more like LAN party play, it's where a group of PSP owners play together on an informal peer to peer network created by their PSPs talking to each other.
Infrastructure mode uses routers and Internet infrastructure to connect with other players anywhere on the internet. Infrastructure is the more traditional multi-player option.
With ad-hoc you have to be in the same location or on the same private wireless LAN as your friends in order to play. With infrastructure you could be anywhere with wireless net access.
Motorstorm apparently supports both modes, which is great.

But it's weird that America got this so late(?).

LOL @ Scarecrow and Merc. . . GT Promising? EH, thought it was seemingly the biggest disappointment. Anyway, with all the other hott titles out, i'll have to buy this another time.
Unfortunately I don't have a PSP 🙁
Q!
"i am home"
Can someone who has a PSP and has this game please answer one question. How does it look on the PSP? I have read several reviews, and one of the reviews was less than complimentary about the graphics. Partly it was the arctic environment and partly it seemed to be the vehicle models
The review was at a site I normally trust, but I want a second opinion because MotorStorm games have in the past been so very good.
If I can find it tonight, I may grab it and report back. I'm going to hit some shops later and will keep an eye out.
I found some confusing information on the PS2 version. 29.99 and available online only at some retail stores while others have it coming out around Christmas (in-stores). I see that today is the release day for the PSP version but it's much cheaper if gotten through Amazon. I can get it for $28.80 shipped there. Hmm. What to do…
