If you want a few color options when it comes to your hardware, you should probably live in Japan. Just look at the PSP: you could always go for the standard piano black, or you could also select from ceramic white, ice silver, lavender purple, mint green, rose pink and felicia blue.
And guess what? Here comes another cool color; this one is a limited edition matte bronze PSP Slim, which will hit Japanese store shelves on April 24 and retail for ¥23,800 (about $228). You will receive a pouch, hand strap, cloth, 32MB Memory Stick Duo, and D-Terminal AV cable along with the unit, so it's a pretty nifty bundle. SCEJ has really been working to enhance the appeal of this little handheld; they just revealed the new cradle , and there's also a new microphone on the way. It was originally scheduled to release in January, but now it's set for a March 19 date and will be available in single- and double-microphone packs for ¥2,500 (about $24) and ¥4,000 ( about $38), respectively. Good news, too- while the cradle is only made for the new PSP Slim, the microphone will be compatible with both the old PSP-1000 and the current PSP-2000. You'll also be able to use the microphone for the handheld's upcoming Skype service.
The PSP remains a hot item just about everywhere, and with new colors and accessories, even more consumers should be interested. But how's about delivering some of these cool colors to the US, Sony?
Oh god, this looks gaudy. I'd rather get the nice mint green PSP. Sure its just as much but without accessories, but I think the bronze is a little 'strong' colour-wise.
I am a total fan of all the Pastel-Coloured PSPs and the original Piano Black.
Finally a PSP that I'm not jealous the Japanese have lol
I like my plain Piano black PSP. I will probably get GOW:Chains of Olympus when it arrives here (europe) later this month.
But bronze is a unique color.
OMG how many models of PS are they gonna do? 20,40,60,and 80gig model PS3's; white, black, bronze, star wars, GOW models of PSP's… isn't that costing SONY a lot of cash? research and manufacturing modifications cost money right? Is SONY trying to lose on purpose?
It cost money but obviously not much if Sony's releasing all these SKUs.
It really doesnt cost anything to make a new color. Unless they put a new feature in, its the same thing, new color.
Bronze is okay – but Kratos' red is gorgeous!
