The highly anticipated Tales of Xillia just launched in Japan and yet, Namco Bandai isn't done.
We're still waiting for a US release date for the aforementioned RPG but in the meantime, the Japanese publisher is teasing something new in the Tales series.
You can visit one of those irksome yet intriguing mystery countdowns and formulate your own theory. At the time of this writing, it seems a new installment in the critically acclaimed franchise will be revealed in 1 day, 18 hours, and 39 minutes. For role-playing aficionados, this comes as good news, especially because there's a darn good chance that Namco will deliver the title to US shores. Remember, we're definitely getting Tales of Graces F . That's a good sign, isn't it?
The JRPG isn't dead. It's just not as popular these days; the fans can still get their fix if they look closely; the Tales games are usually immensely fulfilling.
I've never played any Tales game before, but I would definitely check Tales of Graces F out once it comes out. I sorely miss my JRPGs! Here's hoping this Tales game being teased would go well with its fanbase and that it gets a western release too.
Ben will you be reviewing WKC2? Or how about the new Sony Wireless 7.1 headset? I've been enjoying it and was wondering if you had used it.
Anyways glad this news interests me, I've been craving RPGs and I'm giddy just thinking about how amazing tomorrow will be.
I got the new headset with Resistance 3. But I haven't actually used it yet; I'm using the Turtle Beach Ear Force PX21 headset I got with F.E.A.R. 3.
And yes, I'll be reviewing WCK2. Just give me a little leeway; I won't have it done immediately.
No hurry, I'm getting it regardless of any reviews. I just enjoy reading your reviews, especially when it's a game I enjoy and plan on playing.
Ben, you could try that headset on and pull an Elvis by sweating on them, then throw them out to the crowd. Fans go crazy over that kind of stuff.
I'm hoping to get one of those headsets soon too, should make a huge difference to my experience of game sound.
I can't play with stuff on my head (see: 3D)
I want the Sony headset too. I saw its only $100? Thats not bad at all and i've seen some pretty solid reviews. Battery life is like…3 hours max i saw and few said the volume wasnt loud enough. Maybe they listen to everything at a high volume an are part deff, but thats my guess. So Ben I also await the review
I responded to that tweet or whatever it was a while back, saying I would buy a Tales game if they released one in NA. I've never played any, but I am keeping my word and buying the game. If I like it, I'll buy everyone they release.
* every one *
Im anxiously awaiting Tales of Graces F. Im hoping Xillia will be localized.
Looking forward to Tales of Graces F, but WKC2 is my main focus right now, well that and Atelier Totori which is also here in aqbout a week's time. Totori looks like a fairly well improved version of the basic game play from Atelier Rorona, it is turn based, pretty and fun. What more can a JRPG offer except a monumental storyline?
I will buy them both. I've had my issues with it being action based in the past but now that everything is action based I'll take a JRPG in any form I can get it.
Anything they want to offer (that I can play) I'll take. Diverse game collections is the only way to play. Now when do Graces F and Xillia arrive on the shores of English-speaking PS3 owners?
I know, this new entry will make it 3 titles in the series we're waiting on to leave Japan.
It's a Vita instalment.
Xillia got a near perfect score in Famitsu making it the highest rated Tales….to those that care.
I'm interested….

My first Tales of experience was Tales of Destiny 2 for PS1. It was released as Tales of Eternia for PSP. Exact same game.
It was one of my favorite PS1 titles. A very excellent experience. I've enjoyed other Tales of games, but that one is, in my humble opinion, the very best. I would recommend it to anyone with a PSP or ability to play PS1 games.
I'll likely get any Tales of game to grace the PS3.
I wonder if they'll put tales of Eternia on the psn for download purchase. I'd definitely pick it up.
SO ready for Tales of Graces F to get here. Day one purchase if Xillia is localized. WKC2 is going to keep me busy as well so at least we'll have JRPG's to play on our PS3's for a while. (Finally)
Don't forget Atelier Totori…
Cant wait to try these Action Rpgs out. =)
