Yes, Xbox 360 owners get the jump on Call of Duty DLC, so PlayStation 3 fans just have to be patient.
The latest piece of downloadable content for Black Ops will hit the PS3 and PC on September 22; "Rezurrection" is the fourth expansion pack for the record-breaking blockbuster and it boasts five new levels for Zombie mode along with an updated soundtrack and special "Moon" theme.
As usual, the retail cost will be $15. Of the five maps in the pack, the first four are remakes of environments you saw in Call of Duty: World at War and the fifth map – that Moon – is all new and yeah, it takes place in outer space. As for the familiar maps in question, they were included in the Hardened and Prestige version of Black Ops .
Now, some will complain about Activision milking this franchise through well-timed and costly DLC but hey, the fans don't see it that way. If you can't understand the fascination, perhaps it's best to seek out an avid CoD follower and fire off a few questions. That's the only fair thing to do.
Related Game(s): Call of Duty: Black Ops ,
The COD fans who buy every piece of dlc, as well as each new game every year must have deep pockets.

no, judging from my live and psn experience most of them are whiny, irritating children who make their parents pay for everything. which is weird because i hear parents complain about violence in videogames but then theres a lot of these damn kids yelling in my ears.
Not really, it's the only game they buy all year so there's a lil extra.
@World. LOL, why didn't i think of that?
u guys love to steriotype cod players
Yep, one of my friends buys the "new" COD every year and he plays nothing more than that.
Don't worry Godslim. Stereotypes never include everyone. There are always exceptions, like you, who have also played and appreciated other excellent titles.
Stereotypes exist for a reason, though. Maybe it's unfair. The stereotype can, at the very least, apply to a majority of CoD players that always use headsets. :p
Enjoy what you've created MW fans.
how can they when this is for BO?
……. sorry could not resist.
should of said have fun reaping what you sew.
Basically, every BO owner is a MW owner so they're just the same people
All I have to say is that I find it ridiculous that so many people buy every "new" map pack which only has rehashed maps and does not add much to the game. All this when they could have spent the money to get a new game which would most likely be better and be so much more worth that amount of money.
But, as always, this is just my opinion and many will likely disagree with me.

Amazing….
It's like passing some bad gas……5 maps, but 4 of them are the same ole, same ole, triple-re-fried beans(at least your butt's rat-a-tat-tat-ing sound effects will clear the room of any enemies, but watch out for any unforeseen collateral damage to your couch).
Seriously, this is getting ridiculous. I never have and never will buy a Call of Duty DLC, its so overly priced that it's not even worth it. I don't even play Call of Duty much. I played the campaign and little multiplayer and that was it. But of course, money grubbing Activision has to get every single dollar from gamers who want more out of it. They need to bump down the price I think. and Besides, I would rather buy dlc's that expand the storyline and gameplay. not buy a dlc for more stupid map packs.
Certainly, they make a lot of money. But come on there's better games out there then just Call of Duty. I'm sorry if I offend some gamers but I see a lot of people who play just Call of Duty and I find it ridiculous and stupid. There's more bang for your buck in other games that come out during the course of the year.

I guess only or most mature gamers like more than just an FPS game which most people have been growing up to. I'm just saying that people need to expand than just play an FPS. Look at Heavy Rain and Uncharted, beautiful and dramatic adventures and certainly games to keep memories. FPS appoximately = average gamers of thats all they know how to play. Rarely do I hear of the average gamer talk about the storyline either.

Seriously guys hate and love = fame gtf over cod already if you hate it. Im so tired of it. Look, you dont like it dont buy it or play it. And dont hate it as it only adds to its fame. Sorry Ben.
If you do like it , yay!!!
Sorry PSX community, see the light
my problem is not about the game, its great.. you know when it came out years ago. if people want to buy the same game with a different coat of pain, thats fine by me. just dont try to argue that its a new game every year. its not. hell, i've seen the same buildings in mw1 in mw2 just with minor differences like the gas station in overgrown is in one of the mw2 maps just covered in vines and a different color scheme.
my problem is with the community itself. mostly immature little bastards that does nothing but exploit the developers lack of attention to detail through glitches and concerning the ps3 version, lack of support online.
Ahh, I see. Like someone said maybe CoD is actually the only true game this generation that is giving gamers what they want. Oviously the same thing. Example, Socom 4 and Killzone 3 both tried to be like CoD… I mean airstrikes in Socom and killstreak perks in Kz3? Seriously… Especiaply Socom wich was so so so so much better back then, now it is worse. I think you gus get my point, anyway, is CoD milking itself or is it just staying true to itself and giving what the fans want? Ask yourself that, very crucial question, no? Im sure we all have our reasons on why whe purchase CoD and why not. Socom changed so much everyone hated it, its not tactical anymore its like uncharted now, and its not suppose to be. I simPly want to play Socom, not uncharted!!! I hope you guys understqnd my point. Im pointing out the possibility that CoD sells because the fans want the same ole same ole. When they pop in call of duty in their ps3/360 theyre playing call of duty and call of duty only. When i pop in Socom i know i aint even playing socom, im playing, or so it feels, uncharted.

i think the most of media is the problem, not all. either they completely destroy a game for being the same or overhype the hell out of it so much as to be completely disappointed by the result. look at jrpgs, fans love it when it stays traditional, not really the same but familiar. final fantasy 13 was a disappointment because it lost all familiarity among the fans. i for one wouldnt mind if the genre didnt change its core experience at all. They completely bashed white knight chronicles because it stayed true to what the fans wanted and the result is that most people ignored it. It didnt have final fantasy production value, which is the only thing the franchise has now, but it was still an amazing game. however, with call of duty games or halo, theres not much difference between iterations but they praise the hell out of it and completely ignore the fact that the game has been the same game every year with minor aesthetic changes. the same game but it managed to pull down amazing(questionable) reviews. i loved modern warfare 1 but after years of giving me the same game, i got tired of it. granted that the cod community didnt help in convincing me to keep playing. if you take off point of a game for something like lack of originality or innovation, it should be the same for other games. you cant knock of points of another shooter because its not COD like or in gran turismo 5's case because its not an arcade racer.

Just to let you know…there's no killstreak perks in Killzone 3….Just killstreaks….FYI
To be fair to Ben, Killa, this article wasn't written by him. :p
As for me, Killa… I don't hate it. Not really. I just get frustrated by the imperfections that get exploited. I wouldn't even care if people just behaved and stopped cheating. Most of the problem isn't even the game itself. Most of the problem is the community involved.
Things like quick scope glitching absolutely RUINED the online experience of MW2 for me. I can do it too, but it's SO un fun.
If people weren't asses all the time, we wouldn't have to worry about such development issues.
I dunno. I would appreciate it if the devs took a little more pride in their development. Some of the issues make playing with some people an absolute nightmare. I'm a huge believer in fun over production values, but I dunno man…. I definitely don't feel for the money they make, an equal effort is put into the game's creation.
I don't see what's unfair about that. And it doesn't make me a hater. I'm just a consumer who wants a little bit more quality from my products.

The CoD trial is a go, May 7th proceedings will begin to resolve the West & Zampella issues plus Activision's "Thanks for the money now GTFO" countersuit.
Five zombie maps with one of them being NEW.The other four are re-mastered maps from W@W with the new weapons.Lots of bang for your buck here if your into zombies.COD zombies are among the best in gaming. This is a good peice of DLC.Lots of game time to be had for $15.I'm not a big COD multiplayer fan,(lag switching, campers and hacking idiots have ruined it),but zombies are just plain fun.Gather up a friend or 2 or 3 to join you and enjoy.
and im back from outer space!
why a map on the moon though?
oh well, whatever keeps the kids off the interwebs and glued to the TV is good in my books!
Kids need to get outside more, read a book, hang out with their friends. No wonder the US is leading is child obesity…or obesity in general. Stop sitting in frount of your tv all day an get some exerciser
Well the good news is that people who bought the Hardened and Prestige Editions will get this map pack free. At least that is what I have heard. That includes me! 🙂 I love CoD and BF and cannot wait to own them both. I just have to decide which one will get my money first. Zombies is great fun and will unfortunately get no love with MW3. I am looking forward to the Moon map, looks crazy fun!

My friends are absolutely addicted to Cod zombies. I however don't get into it as much, but I still like trying out new maps and I would pick World At War's zombie maps over Black Op's zombie maps any day. Thankfully my friends will let me game share the maps so I'm hoping "Moon" is good.
$15 for 4 remade maps and some action in the moon???. no way
Sweet, finally some good news I get this for free!!!
