The rumors about a Devil May Cry HD Collection have been around ever since a Spanish retailer accidentally posted an ad for the package.
Now, G4 turns our attention to the ESRB , where we find the first three DMC titles reclassified; the platforms have been changed from just "PlayStation 2" to "PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360." That's just about all the evidence we need; we only require an official announcement from Capcom. And don't be surprised to see that it's coming to Microsoft's console, despite the fact that all three titles in question were exclusive to the PS2. Capcom is just another publisher that absolutely needs to go multiplatform in order to remain relevant these days.
Anyway, will you be interested in such a collection? Dante is always a bad-ass and the games are awesome…well, with the possible exception of DMC2. That was iffy.

I still got the first one on my PS2. Hardly played it, but the small bit I did play was pretty good.
Too many big titles coming out soon. I'm afraid the HD Collections are reserved for the best of the biggest, eg. ICO / SotC Collection, MGS Collection and (please let it happen) Kingdom Hearts, FF X, X-2 and XII Collection or the 3 PS2 GTA's Collection. (San Andreas was my all time favourite game on PS2)
Now that you mentioned it, the KH and FF PS2 games you mentioned would NOT have a HD version. Squeenix is, after all, too fond of making sure that everything their fans want are NOT heeded. You effectively jinxed yourself there. LOL
If they turn the difficulty of DMC3 down 100 notches I'll think about it.
What was so challenging in it for you?

yes it took a lot of effort and skill, but wasn't it so satisfying when you did beat dmc3? gamers need games like that from time to time to challenge them. dmc1 and 3>dmc2 and dmc4. i guess it's the reverse star trek curse.
Yeah DMC3 is the best out of the original series although they all had allot of back tracking that I didn't like.

Hell yes, I was so happy once I beat it, but also quite sad… The game was great overall
Already played DMC on the PS2. DMC2 is pants and DMC3 is retarded hard. So it's a big pass for me.

I love these collections….. primarily because I didn't play or own almost any of the games in these collections.

I think they should do this kind of thing more often. Next Gen console can hold 10x the space on 1 disk you say? Remake a series throw it all on 1 disk and put it up for $40.

I'll be buying this for sure. I don't mind if the difficulty of a game is ramped up as long as it's fair. DMC 3 can be bloody difficult, but once you know what you're doing if you mess up it usually is your fault. I just really hate games that throw random $%#! at you which is why the Babel towers in Catherine are driving me insane gyaaaaaaaaaaaaargh!

Never played DMC before, i hope they do make a HD collection.
Played DMC1, but not 2 nor 3. So big chance I`m getting this…as long as they do a good job.
And why is DMC2 in the series so bad? Keep reading around the web that it`s worst in the series.

dont hold your breath though just because its been rated does not mean its coming.
crysis has been rated for the ps3 and 360 for months now and we still have not heard boo from crytek.
the OFLC has i am alive rated which means its a retail game as they dont classify DL games.
but then ubisoft has said time and time again its a PSN/XBLA game.
I'd probably get this if it releases in a good window that's not too crowded..Other that…I seriously want a reason why we get no Onimusha HD collection or a new Onimusha?!

man whats with all the peeps sayig this game was too hard to finish. once u figure out the attack patterns of the enemis getting some upgrartes and stades and new moves that game was a breeze. i beat it on dante must die mode in like 2 days. i absolutely loved dmc3 by far the best in the series. 2 sucked and 4 was kinda dissapointing.
wow i hate my laptop sometimes. i dont even kno how i got the word stades in there and i butchered the spelling on upgrades lol
If my memory serves me right, isn't there a easy option on dmc 3…
