Beachhead Used A Psychologist For Call Of Duty Elite

Call of Duty Elite is for everyone, from the casual to the hardcore.

Service developer Beachhead says even hardcore CoD players will find many challenges within Elite but overall, the service caters to all different types. In fact, according to a NowGamer interview , Beachhead product manager Noah Heller said the team actually employed a psychologist to ensure that the service is indeed for everyone.

"We had a vision in our mind at the start that we could build something that was useful to all gamers simultaneously. There are the noobies that get super intimidated. They don’t win the first couple of matches and then they go away forever.

There are the people who couldn’t give a crap about stastistics and they’re there for socialization. They’re the people who are going to go out clubbing at night and they want a few matches to have a good time."

So if it appeals to everyone, are you getting involved? There's little doubt that many CoD fans will sign up for Elite; over 2 million participated in the beta (and that number may be higher now), so it's obviously a popular option. With Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 on the horizon, we'll soon see just how many subscriptions pop up.

I am defiantly not going to be paying for this. Might I check out the free aspects? Probably, but I will never pay a monthly subscription for CoD.

I WILL NEVER PAY FOR AN ONLINE SUBSCRIPTION FOR COD!!!!! If they wouldve cheapen the price of the game itself to like $40 than i might've subscribed!

As long as cheating and modding remain a problem, I will never pay to play any part of this online. You'd think 2 billion dollars would be enough for them to find some sort of solution for this issue (which with Modern Warfare 3 I suspect will be a problem within the first 3 weeks).

Everyone, except someone who would want to pay for a shooter online, much less COD.

Why do I keep thinking of people strapped to their chairs with devices holding open their eyes?

COD Elite is like bungie.net for halo. I don't understand what the big deal is about it.

I would never pay for that bungie.net neither
