Bioshock Infinite Cosplay: Elizabeth Has Sprung To Life

Not long after asking some cosplay questions , one of the freakiest examples of such costume wearing has surfaced.

Meet Elizabeth from Bioshock Infinite . …and then meet her again, after she has somehow managed to break the bars on her virtual prison and enter the world of the flesh-and-blood. This is actually more than a little unsettling; that chick is spot-on .

If you're wondering, it's cosplayer Ormeli, and you can check out her gallery if you like. There's another picture of her as Elizabeth; it's just zoomed out. Maybe the Infinite developers should sign her up and show her off at various events. If I were them, I'd be bragging about we'd mastered technology to the point where we can bring fictional characters to life.

Wouldn't that be a good idea, though? Cosplay has become so popular – and some of it is really good – so game makers could take advantage. Those who do this kind of thing are typically giant fans, and I'm sure they'd be happy to help plug a product (provided they got paid, of course). Professional cosplay PR peeps. …could attract attention.

Professional Cosplay you say? Ruling on Cosplay you say?

You all really need to google Alodia Gosiengfiao who I mentioned yesterday…

I googled her too, she's cute but I don't know who she tries to look like 😀
Would be nice with a page that put a pic from the game and the player beside each other, much like Ben did here.

Google Alodia as Morrigan Aensland, for an example of that. There are many others but that one came to mind first.

Wow, that is pretty uncanny, like you said ben, she's spot on.

For as popular as cosplay is I'm kind of surprised a group of cosplayers(?) (Cosplay-ees?) Hasn't banded together to make a show or play or something, with consent from devs of course.

I bet that'd be pretty interesting, in a good way. It could bring a new life or atmosphere to games.

Sounds like tribute bands, or even things like the Spiderman musical.

Oh hell, I can't believe I failed to mention this yesterday, the Rocky Horror Picture Show. Good grief if there is a better example of live cosplay in the US, I don't know what it could be apart perhaps from Trekkies and Star Wars fans at conventions.

I am getting incredible deja vu here… Like… the kind that's so hardcore, you start to feel dizzy.

Ben, did you in the past follow up a Cosplay article with this article? Seriously. I feel like I've read this exact article weeks ago. Maybe I dreamed about this or something…

Seriously, … this is weird hardcore deja vu. I'm not drunk or anything either.

WHAT IS GOING ON!!!!!?????

Oh holy mahogany… That is the cutest I have ever seen. Ok that's it. I'm officially a fan of the entire thing. BioShock, Elisabeth, cosplayers, Ormeli, the whole lot. Bring it on.

The game is not even released yet! how can someone claim to know 'be' someone else without even playing the game, there might be a twist where she turns to a mutant… It's really just some pretentious girl posing, I think the phrase 'Get a life' speaks volumes for this case.

So, are you applying that "get a life" phrase yourself? How is someone dressing up as a character worthy of such a phrase? Are you William Shatner from the SNL skit?

I hate it when people use that phrase, it somehow conveys an air of superiority that's obviously unmerited, while at the same time completely putting down the target of the comment. If this cosplayer wants to dress up and take pictures of herself imitating a game character, what is wrong with that? If she subsequently get's a professional engagement doing such work, does she need to get a life? I know plenty of people who have hobbies that consume hundreds of hours of their personal time and all they have to show for it are blistered thumbs. Shouldn't they also get a life by the same standard you apply here?

Yeah… pretty lame dude.

And besides, the photography is actually really well done, besides. (You did check out the link Ben added, right?) I'd say there's lots more to this than just "dress up". There's a lot of artistry going into every last detail.

I mean, look at the picture Ben posted, for example. Every last detail is attended to, including her hair. That tiny clump of strands in the middle? Yeah, that's attention to detail, right there.

It amazes me how people fail to take time to evaluate something before commenting on it.

And let's not gloss over another important fact: it's not like you can go buy that costume. Pretty sure it doesn't exist, which means she made it, or had someone make it. And like the rest of the presentation, it's pretty damn accurate.

Call it what you want. I remain a little impressed.

OK im not good with Euro and US conversion and its a confusing article about price but there is a Wi-Fi less PSP out there now and that is the point.

It's not actually a PSP-3000, but a new model. PSP E-1000 going for 99 Euros, which basically means that it'll most likely be 99USD as well, if the Vita and PS3 pricing is any indication. Bloody good deal.

Yes I saw that, my mistake. But its practically a 300 without WiFi.

Not only is she hot, but you also want to have a conversation with her. Nice long and interesting date. Have a lot of fun talking. Then maybe she invites you in for a drink or something. And hell yes you will. Because did you see her cosplay photos? Damn!

She's got everything perfect from the weird way Elizabeth's hair sticks out on the side to the awesome cleavage that I can't take my eyes off of. Very nicely done.

Wow!! Just…. wow!!!

Incredibly beautiful AND amazingly accurate!! Spot on Ben, it's almost like seeing Elizabeth pulled from the game itself into reality!!

I think it's the roses and the costume itself, and the blue eyes (contacts?) that all go together to make one incredibly beautiful photo.

I always find these kind of images far better for my tastes than bikini-clad, over-tanned and cheap-looking photos of girls seen everywhere these days.

… actually makes me wanna start getting into cosplay too! 🙂
