The latest Deus Ex will finally arrive in a couple of weeks, and each new piece of media is encouraging.
For instance, take this new "Social" Trailer, which focuses on the fourth aspect of gameplay; there's combat, stealth, hacking, and social, and the latter really adds another piece of depth; another role-playing element. Basically, locating and interacting with characters might change how you approach a certain situation. Maybe they'll help you out with a valuable piece of information, or assist in some other way.
It's very cool, and one of the main reasons we're interested in Human Revolution . This series was about choice well before "choice and freedom" became an industry staple in multiple genres. Personally, I still think I'm going to try the stealth approach for many of the objectives but who knows? Brute strength can be fun, too…

"NO, I VANTED ORANGE. IT GAVE ME LEMON-LIME."
Could this be one of them very few times an almost entirely new team can capture the essence of a legendary predecessor that was created by the original team??
The more I see…..the more I like, and want!
'Sexual object' cut from Deus Ex: Human Revolution in Japan. Body organs also removed as title gets an adults only rating.
Deus Ex: Human Revolution is by no means a family friendly game, but two specific cuts in Japan will protect audiences from body organs and sexual objects.

You're kidding me right? They removed this for the same people that are big on the most disgusting gore movies along with scat play, sexbots, panties, and every bizarro sex toy under the sun?

It's revenge!!! We cut their stuff… they cut our stuff out…err that doesn't sound good:)
I like the social aspects and focusing on characters and how I aught to speak with them to manipulate them into doing what I want. I've been impressed with how gaming is pretty close to real life in that way. The proper response more often than not nets you the actions you are looking for. And proper isn't always "obvious," you need to consider ramifications of all kinds.
That's one thing I don't understand about the crowd that says Mass Effect is just a third person shooter with some upgrade elements. No, that series has intricate, detailed relationships you can use to direct the social narrative where you want. I really like and it's also something that Dragon Age and DAII did well. If Deus can come close to Bioware on this I'll be happy.

thats 2 of this games biggest problems.
the args take FOREVER to save up for!
for instance the cop shop level if you want you can take a massive shortcut but you need 6 points to buy the strength upgrade to allow you to lift a dumpster blocking your entry.
but this is so early on in the game, you dont have anywhere near enough time to save up six points!
your lucky if you get 2 let alone 6!
then theres the social part the characters are really unpredictable.
you would think by insulting them they would get pissed and refuse to help you, and if you complimented them and comforted them they would be more willing to help you.
sometimes its true sometimes its the complete opposite!
so how are you suppose to know which one is when+
for instance again in the cop shop level you can speak to a guy who use to be in the swat with you, some messed up sh*t happened then and hes been traumatized by it ever since.
he was salking about it and i told him its in the past you need to move on instead of blaming him for it.
he was happy with that and continued the conversation.
then he brang up the orders it was you who was told to do it but you refused so he had to do it, so i said you did what you did just get over it, instead of again insulting him and this time he blew up at me and then the convo ended and he refused to speak to me again.
what the hell?
first time your nice and hes nice, 2nd time your nice and hes a prick.
how are you suppose to predict these people?
