Mass Effect 3: Murder, Pregnancy, Disease…Oh My

Well, we want as many realistic options as possible, right?

In the Mass Effect series, you really need to think about your actions, because those actions have consequences. It's one of the biggest appeals of the game. And you can bet that BioWare is taking yet another step in Mass Effect 3 , as several new character interactions have been revealed.

To start, there's pregnancy. We're not sure exactly how it will work, but feel free to interpret the following as you see fit: "Both male and female main characters will have the ability to become a parent; with humans or a non-human (unisex option)." …okay, who's imagining some truly freaky offspring? But it doesn't end there, as characters can also spread and catch diseases, murder is an option, and yeah, the mysterious Tali may finally show her face. Who's waiting on that?

There's a whole living breathing sci-fi world in Mass Effect . Might as well make it as authentic as possible.

Everything I hear about this game keeps me excited for March. This will be game of the year 2012.

… In what looks to be a tough competition with Bioshock Infinite, but yeah, I think Bioware will be able to grab the GOTY-award that year too. This is just *so* much more than a shooter.

Shepard + Tali = Oh my!

Also I need to see that face already!

Again, I'm with ya except I'm kinda reserved with her unveiling. Will Bioware please the fans and make her a super-cute humanoid alien or will she be some freaky looking creature?

She just *have* to be cute. They can't make a monster of her, not with that voice and utterly charming being. That would cause a havoc. 😀

I think that this will be the irony they'll make out of it, that her race is *so* beautiful yet forced to wear those suits cause of fragility.

Getting pregnant in a videogame isn't new. In Fable II you could do that when engaging in unprotected sex. Yes, could do it protected or bare. How's that? Lol.

Yeah? I heard that was a feature that was announced but never made it into the game.

Oh it made it in there all right, and on your stats screen it has a running tally of STDs also.

So when you are a woman you CAN run around killing folks with a giant belly full of fetuses?

Nobody said it was new. It's new to the ME franchise, that's all.

And you could get pregnant and have kids in Fable III, too, but that game was about as RPG Lite as you're going to get so I stopped caring after a while.

While playing the game, don't forget to put on a raincoat, they're on the nightstand.

As Duke says "Wrapt it before you tap it"

But seriously, I'm afeared of Tali with her lack of fingers, she's probably some kind of insect under there.

I was disappointed that at the end of ME2 I couldn't make any of the women Shepard's official "steady". And that I couldn't bag that blue woman. Dragon Age was better about letting you whore around. I'd prefer not to have kids as they tend to ruin most television shows and movies when they come on the scene but I guess sh*t happens. Do people who choose to be gay get to adopt? lol.

I have a feeling Tali may die here due to disease since her race has a very weak immune system, after seeing this. Noooo!

I actually think that will be the trade off for us to get to see her face. Oh man, tears will roll!

Dude you just *have* to get a savegame where everyone lives, who knows what will happen to Jack this time around!

i will eventually.
i just cant be stuffed replaying the last level anymore, ive tried so many times and either jack or someone else dies.
might see if i can use a friends save profile.

I'm pretty sure you need to get further back in the story, an earlier savegame. My impression is that most of what happens in that final stage depend on what you've done (or not done) throughout the story up until then.
So if something is "missing" from earlier then someone *have* to die at this stage. You got all ship parts and weapon enhancements? Everyone are loyal?

upgraded everything, everyone but jack is loyal simply because when her and miranda had their cat fight i did not have enough pargon to solve it, i had to take one side this i went against jack and thus shes not loyal.
thats not why she keeps dying though i dont think because she always dies at the last door she ends up getting killed.
but if the person i send through the ducts dies then she survives.
i think its set up that if you dont have everyone loyal then at least 1 person dies.
first time i did it i sent mordin through the ducts and he ended up getting shot as he closes the doors.
every time after that i chose tali i think it was and she survived, but then come the last door jack gets killed.
ill leave it till ME3 comes out then i might see if i can borrow a friends save file and use that, i cant be stuffed replaying ME2 again.
already done that 3 times because of my corrupt saves!

Hmm I have to check my savegame but I *imagine* that I managed to gain Jacks loyalty again after I went against Jack in that catfight.

And I believe you are right in that one have to die if not all are loyal.

im pretty sure you can, but stupid me did the loyalty missions early on so by the time they had the fight both were loyal to me.
i thought that would help, but it dident.
i thought since she is loyal she will stay so, but nope.
i hope bioware come out with a FAQ guide or something with ME3 to try stop this from happening.
would be nice to know what things will happen if i do things now instead of later.
for instance if i knew they were going to have a fight i would of left their loyalty missions till after then, but i did not know that so i did them as soon as they became available.

Something tells me if I got Jack pregnant she would snuff that child with extreme prejudice.

I look forward to seeing how they represent Tali.
"characters can also spread and catch diseases". Sounds to me your relationship with Kelly comes back to bite you in the ass.

Cool, I have all options… But my best save game is the one I hooked up with the blue lady, Liara. It is also my save game with the whole crew intact.

After my PS3 returns from Sony I'm trying to get the best ending everyone survives the final mission so I can have everyone in part 3. It looks like my Shepard is trending towards him hooking up with Jack and Tali again. I wonder how things will play out if Jack make it because she died in my first run through and afterwards Shepard and tali hooked up.
