Turtle Beach Reveals MW3-Themed Line Of Headsets

In order to enhance your gaming experience, you'll need a top-quality headset.

And that goes double when it comes to online multiplayer, which is why Turtle Beach will honor the biggest multiplayer game of the year with several unique headsets.

It's a new line of "exclusively licensed, limited edition Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Ear Force headsets," which will boast plenty of new features. They'll even include unique audio presets designed specifically by the audio teams at Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games. PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC gamers will all be able to take advantage.

Ranging from the Ear Force FOXTROT ($99.95) to the Ear Force DELTA ($299.95), there are four headsets from which to choose. The top-of-the-line one features Programmable Wireless Dolby 7.1 Surround Sound, Bluetooth Chat, a specially-themed carrying case, and is pre-loaded with unique custom MW3 presets and voice prompts. Said Michael Arzt, Turtle Beach Vice President of Marketing and Business Development:

"Call of Duty continues to define action while also becoming a cultural phenomenon as well as the industry standard. As the long-time leader and innovator in the gaming audio category, Turtle Beach is excited to introduce a collection of purpose-built Modern Warfare 3 headsets with features and benefits that will far surpass gamers’ expectations for licensed headsets."

I would rather they just get rid of the mw3 logo and just have it black, it would look much cooler.

Second this. If they do that, I may consider picking one up.

The sound for the PX21's is excellent at it's price point. The only problem I had with it was the wire above the control box that leads into the headset somehow broke inside the box, just be aware that's where it's weak point is. Well, for me anyway. Good headset though.

But since I got my Trittons I haven't gone back after my PX21's died on me, but if you don't want to spend a lot on a headset I would recommend the PX21's though.

This just further reinforces the fact that nearly everyone involved with COD in the industry stands to make a buck or two.

No thanks! I have my OFFICAL Playstation 3, 7.1 surround sound headset $(99.99) on pre order. Which is coming out September- October 2011. One thing I love about Sony is that everything they make is of high quality. No offense to the Ninja Turtles head set, but I good. I trust Sony.

Why would you want to hear what other CoD players have to say?

So how is this going to help that single player campaign that they said was their main focus?

Turtle Beach came up with the headset not Activision.

lol $300

7.1 seems a little OTT. How effective can surround sound really be with headphones?

I have the PX5's witch are currently the best headset out there & I must say it does do what its suppose to. You can turn your character in a circle & you'll hear the sound just like you are controlling your character. Its awesome. Makes a difference because you can tell where someone is shooting from.

Oh yeah, surround sound is awesome for games. I just didn't think headphones would be able to replicate it, but then again my headphones are ancient. Thanks for setting me straight.

A good headset makes a big deal when playing games. Say you are playing CoD for instance. You can hear them running around and precisely pinpoint which direction they are going whether they are above or below you in a level.

If they stop and reload you can clearly hear them reload the gun or pull the pin off the grenade they are about to throw at you, or someone else and eliminate him before he knows you are there. You can basically hear everything that's going on in the game with gaming headsets and it's a must have with the sound quality it brings to the table to a gamer.

I have listened to the px5 but nothing beats surround sound with 7 decent speakers and a sub.

I'll stick with my actual 7.1 surround sound theater system that blows away any headset.

Can't go wrong with a Home Theater System as well. Either one works good it just depends on the person and what they are willing to spend I guess.

never really understood the point of gaming headsets.
why spend 400 which is the RRP for the PX5s when you could go out and get a good 5.1 setup for pretty much the same price?
hell, the logitech Z5500 kit i have for my PC will kick the sh*t out of the PX5s AND its 100 bucks cheaper!
and that was just after GTAIV released, by now you could probably pick it up even cheaper!
though ill stick to my rotel processor and 7.1 B&W setup.

sad though most games dont take advantage of proper surround sound, i mean why the ^%$# are most games these days still using dolby digital?
THATS WHAT THE FREAKING LAST GEN USED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
movies left that for dead ages ago, they have moved onto DTS, then DTS HD, and now TRUE HD.
so why are games still stuck in the 19th century?
thats one area games really have not moved on from.
i mean look at the scale, AI, visual gaps there a mile wide!
sound though, not even a quarter of that!
what really annoys me is allot of games dont even have separate recordings for separate guns, so you end up with assault rifles sounding the same as SMGs when there totally different!
guns and explosions dont sound like guns and explosions, they sound like a balloon popping.
only game thats really got sound half decent is the BFBC series, DICE may do destruction well but they do sound effects even better!
i remember watching a video a while ago of a few devs from DICE at a military training ground taking recordings for BF3.
BFBC2 is the best sounding game ive played so far, especially on PC wipes the consoles off the map!
though go watch a good action movie like the dark night, or even inception and see how it makes BFBC2 sound like a ps1 game!
come on developers have closed the gap on hollywood so much this gen in almost every aspect, so why is sound getting left behind?
to me sounds MUCH more important then pretty graphics, really immerses you in the experience more.
nothing better then setting of a huge explosion and having your seat and chest vibrate like your at a rock concert!
