Ben-DutkaJanuary 2011 saw the release of Mass Effect 2 for the PlayStation 3. January 2012 will get another gigantic RPG release.
Well, if you can call it role-playing. While we still haven't seen a great deal of official details and media concerning Final Fantasy XIII-2 , it seems Square Enix has already nailed down a launch window for North America. As seen at Emily Shoji's Twitter page :
"FINAL FANTASY XIII-2 is slated for a January 2012 release for North America. Be excited!"
Okay, we're excited. Sort of. In the past, any mention of a Final Fantasy title would've had us drooling, and while FFXIII was a great game, the RPG fans had a little bone to pick with the developers. Now, these same developers say they've listened to their fans when creating FFXIII-2 but…well, we've already explained why we remain skeptical .
But for the sake of enduring optimism, we'll just hope for something amazing. All hope hasn't died.
