Ben-DutkaIf one has the option to play it in 2D or 3D, what evil influence would entice you to play it in 3D?
Well, maybe it'll be great in both perspectives. Let's not be too negative. Either way, you'll be able to check it out this week:
A reader tells us Sega has a Sonic Generations demo ready, and it hits both the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live service this week. The demo will come with the classic version of Green Hill Zone (yay!), although we're not entirely sure if we'll be able to sample it in both 2D and 3D. See, when they say "classic," they're referring to 2D; when they say "modern" for Generations , that means the 3D re-imagining of classic levels. We'll be happy with whatever we get, though, because Sonic deserves to have a happy 20th anniversary; he shouldn't have to be reminded about all those 3D failures that sullied his good name.
No, just give us Sonic the way he used to be. You know, there was a time kiddies, when Sonic used to be like Call of Duty today. …okay, maybe more like Battlefield , as Mario was obviously CoD.

I loved Sonic when I was a kid. I watched the cartoon tv show (remember that?), read short children's novels, I even had his shoes! I admit, I've hated alot of the new Sonic stuff, but I desperately want to like them again.

The last sonic they released on PSN(Sonic 4), was awesome… If it's anything like that i'll get it
Very keen to get my hands on this, I have seen the videos and found the gameplay to look excellent, i Hope it lives up to it.
As for Sonic 4 has that been abandoned now? only Episode 1 was released after all.
Sonic 4 was a step in the right direction. Well, more like a leap. I just hope they're keeping it up. I'll be definitely trying this. Still play Sonic 2 a lot.
Yay for evil influences. I grew up with SA1 and SA2 so i prefer 3d. I had a fangasm when i saw city escape in hd. I`ll keep my hopes up for a 3D city escape demo. Can`t wait for tomorrow!

Sonic Generations, can't wait. I'll be having fun in 2D and 3D, period.
i started to outgrow sonic the minute spinball came out. that game, marred his image. i remember the controls feeling sloppy, a tad unresponsive. i wanted so bad to like it but they totally rushed it and damaged the sonic brand in the process. it was the first good not great sonic game which set up for the next title sonic 3 to leave a worse taste in my mouth when i found out it was only like 5 levels deep. sonic and knuckles was a step in the right direction but by then, i was already distancing myself.
already up on the HK store.
really looking forward to this,i had allot of fun with sonic 4, cant wait till epp2 releases.

I just d/l and tried the Sonic Generations demo that game is too fast you can't see anything. I doubt i'll be buying it.
Just played it ,very fast paced and enjoyable. One thing that does bug me though is the perspective, its a little too zoomed out for my liking, while its a minor annoyance it is still there…
I just played it, was disappointed there was no modern mode in it but it was still fun nonetheless. I'll definitely be buying this game since im a huge sonic fan.
