We reported a few days back the preliminary numbers that Gundam Musou pulled in, and how it affected PS3 sales. Well, according to Media Create, for the week of Feb. 26th-March 3rd, the Dynasty Warriors/Gundam hybrid sold an impressive 170k. Again, these are Media Create's numbers; other publications are claiming it is in the neighborhood of 180k. Gundam Musou is the second PS3 title to debut at the #1 spot in software sales, Virtua Fighter 5 being the first with 50k copies sold. Monster Hunter Portable 2nd continues to sell in hordes, as the game moved an additional 138k copies. We were also informed that at press time, the game has surpassed one million in sales, which makes it the first million seller for the PSP.
The remainder of the countdown shows Wii Play ready to break 1M, unless it hasn't already. Wii Play marks the second million seller for the Wii, closely followed by Wii Sports. New Super Mario Bros. somehow managed to climb onto the chart, as did More Brain Age. And Dragon Quest Monster Joker continues to perform reasonably well, even after surpassing one million. Stay posted for the hardware numbers coming later tonight.
