The release dates – and estimated release windows – just keep coming at E3.
After unveiling Ninja Gaiden: Razor's Edge for the new Wii U, Tecmo Koei revealed a launch window for Ninja Gaiden III , which is in development for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. They've given the highly anticipated action slasher a tentative release of "early 2012," which may not sound like much but it's a definite upgrade from the previous "TBA 2012." Ryu is coming back and with a new emphasis on story, we'll find out what makes this superhero-like ninja "fight, defend and kill." As fans of the series expect, the game will boast a ton of combat, online multiplayer (both co-op and competitive), and what appears to be a fair amount of blood. But can you handle the challenge?
Remember, the designers have confirmed that they aren't softening up; NGIII will be just as difficult as past entries, so flex those fingers…

There was a gameplay trailer shown at E3. You should be able to find it with a bit of digging if Ben doesn't it up sooner or later.
DmC is looking great so far. The gameplay was a tiny bit rough but it excited me. Dante's hair turns white when he turns on some crazy powers 🙂
I just saw it and it looks good I knew NT would come through it looks really promising and I like the fact the it's still far away from release I predict a 2013 release that gives them plenty of time to polish what looks like to be an another awesome DmC.
Cool, may have to pick up the earlier games before getting this one though. Colour me interested.
Just wait 'til Shams and Temjin show up… this thread will explode!
beware those games won't go easy on you.
I have both, they are unforgiving, but fun. Just don't expect to get all the team missions done by yourself. I just hope the online is better.
I think the Ninja Gaiden games are cool, but I get too frustrated. I CANNOT handle unforunately, controllers are too expensive.
*cries* :_(
There there Claire, I can't play them either.
This game looks sexy. I can't wait to get it. 😀
Temjin is busy reviewing inFamous 2 at this moment so I will just post for him:
"Begin the countdown! All you muthaf*ckas are gonna die! Online multiplayer? I'm gonna kill all of them, and I'm gonna kill all of you, and I will master the mysteries of Ryu and dominate in battle to a degree never before seen."
There that should cover it 🙂
Loving the gore & i am hoping the game maintains that hellish difficulty that requires the patience of a monk.
Not too keen on the QTE kills but i'll get over it.
You let those devs know that I'm not softening up either. I'm staying resilient to any desire to purchase a NG game. I mean are they REALLY so stubborn that they refuse to get with the times and make a game that's actually fun for more than twenty people?
That's cute.
They are just too fu**ing lazy to add a difficulty setting.
The best part of Ninja Gaiden 3 is the fact Ryu is a REAL ninja this time. Before he had almost ZERO stealth in terms of gameplay. The sneaking up on the enemies has a nice 'Assassin's Creed' vibe to it.
Oh man, I don't know if I'm happy or sad lol. It's just that ngs2 was one of the few games I haven't got platinum trophy in my collection, and consider I have platinum in games like FF13, Demon's Souls, GTAIV and WipeoutHD but it was perhaps that the game wasn't mine, and I had to give it back so… naaah I should've platinumed anyways :S
No, of course I'm happy, this is for me a pretty good franchise, and looking forward to play it (or should I say SLAY IT!), and this time I'll be going for the platinum no matter what.
LOL at Kevin5, "that hellish difficulty that requires the patience of a monk". Totally agree with you on that one.
And to Alienange, man you sure this game only appeals to 20 persons?? You have to be kidding me. I remember the days when I played it in Nintendo, it was so much fun. And for a franchise to survive all this years, I'm sure they are not only selling them to 20 gamers…

So who will be the next well-endowed lady this time around? Maybe the agent in the trailer? You guys might not approve of this comment, but it wouldn't be Ninja Gaiden without at least one woman with huge melons.
I have to agree with you! And don't forget jiggling too lol (no offense here to gamer girls, please). I hope there also have new weapons or other things. If I remember right, the weapons are the same or almost the same in last 2 entries??

C'mon lads, it wouldn't be a TECMO game without some well endowed lass making an appearance.
It's usually some futuristic shinobi or some special agent in dominatrix attire.

I was always upset that I couldn't play these games cuz I liked that the DOA girls were in em.
I'm really looking forward to this game. Now with out Itakagi-san directing I hope tecmo doesn't tone down the big breasts bouncing all over.
I won't buy this game until I beat Sigma on Master Ninja… and finish UN1 and 2 of Sigma 2's Team Missions
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO CANT WAIT FOR THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ninja gaidens my baby!
though, word of warning tecmo if you change this in any way, or tone it down for the casual crowd your going to have flaming pitchforks to deal with!
Too late, it's already been made easier and dismemberments are gawn.
*flees before the pitchforks*
They already toned down the difficulty setting way back in Ninja Gaiden Black on the original Xbox. It was called 'Dog Mode' & would become accessible if you died too many times. This difficulty setting was also available in Ninja Gaiden Sigma.
@Lawless SXE
Tecmo DID say they won't be toning down anything (not even difficulty) for the casual market. I seriously doubt they'll lie about that and the easy mode was what was demoed.
IGN Hands-On said that it was the normal mode, but I'll defer. I know how wrong they can be over there.
I think their "concept" for NG3 is stupid. What happens when steel meets bone? Or hayasahis enphasis on what it's REALLY like to kill someone as a ninja. I dunno, I'm sure gore'fest fans will love that but that's not me.
When I analyze elements about the game changes thoughts keep running through my head, thinking Itagaki wouldn't have done that from a design standpoint. Anyway, I'd be lying if I didn't admit to wanting to take a stab with this one. I'm just real apprehensive about the new direction.

What happens when steel meets bone?
Yeah I have to agree with you in a way they say this as if it is something really really important yet the only thing they have offer for this concept (from what I've seen) is quick timed events, in which case they took out the dismemberment.
Like why can't we have both why take out one for the other.
i soo cant wait to get my hands on this game the game play trailer looks sweet!!
