Assassin’s Creed: Revelations Collector’s Edition Spotted

When it comes to special editions for blockbuster titles, Ubisoft typically goes all out.

And if you're one of the many enthusiastic Ezio fans out there, you might want to spring for the Assassin's Creed: Revelations Collector's Edition, pictured here. We don't have a price just yet but this sweet package includes a unique casing, a 50-page art book, the game's original soundtrack and a copy of the animated short film, "Assassin's Creed Embers Movie." As for extra game content, fans will receive the prison of Vlad the Impaler with his deadly blade and two new multiplayer characters (the Crusader and the Ottoman Jester). This looks like one of those hundred-dollar bundles but you never know; it might be a reasonably priced $79.99 offering.

As for the game itself, we want it. …despite harboring the sneaking suspicion that Ubisoft is rushing to make AC an annual event.

so looks like my budget is going to be blown away on all these collectors editions! Got the Hero Edition for inFamous2, the Kollectors Edition for Mortal Kombat, pre ordered The Explorer Edition of Uncharted 3, now the Collectors Edition of AC:R I heard it's called the "Animus" Edition btw….oh I almost forgot about Batman AC! I just heard my money say "byeeeee!!" 🙂 in the end totally worth it! 🙂

nah…
game yes. but, i usually don't go for collectors edition. bad enough a game is $60… collectors edition (while neat and pretty cool) are mostly dust catchers that don't really give you the money's worth (in terms of more play and more content that changes the story). Having "purchased" a superior sword, it's almost like buying a game and along with it the walkthrough…
if it's tough, I'll invest my time in it…
(looks nice though. Bet the booklet and soundtrack would be cool. maybe you can find it online one day…)

They have something very similar available in Australia exclusively from EB Games going for $138 pre-order. The prices are always bodgy, but I'd hope for balance's sake you guys would be paying $100 for it. More likely it will be 80 though.

Not springing for it, though I may end up picking up the game soon after release if I sneak in a purchase of Brotherhood and series playthrough between now and then (unlikely methinks).
Peace.

When I picked up inFamous 2 at Gamestop today the guy said that if I reserved AC:R I would get the limited edition for regular price. I had not seen what was in the limited edition and declined, but if I had known I probably would have pre ordered.

Never buy special editions as it gets too expensive. Looking forward to this, BF3, Batman, and MW3 so its looking like an expensive fall
