Atlus has announced the launch of the official website for Catherine , the new puzzle-based erotic thriller for the PS3 and Xbox 360. Offering "a wealth of information and content about and from the game," the site is a great resource for interested gamers. Furthermore, Atlus takes a step in the direction of social networking: visitors can use their cell phones to communicate with the sexy blonde- you can send and receive text messages from Catherine; if you reply "with what she wants to hear," she may treat you to hidden artwork and wallpapers that aren't directly accessible. The first question you'll see upon reaching the site is, "Can love exist without pain?" …come on, we all know the answer to that.
The anticipated title is set to arrive on July 26 and if you're sold on the concept, you might want to spring for the limited-run "Love Is Over" Deluxe Edition . So what if it has stuff you'd probably hide from your friends? And your parents?

Just another avenue of entertainment. Some will find it intriguing some won't but I am all for creative freedom. I personally don't think this one is my cup of tea, but I don't think we should hold any studio back from making this type of game.

Valid question, but an equally valid question is "why not?". In the end it's entertainment and if you or I don't agree with it we just don't purchase it. Let those who want it have it and leave it at the door if you don't.

Some do not even have the privilege of being questioned. One friend of mine was hit on the forehead with a cooking spoon when UFO texts hit his phone. The texts were explicit so she went right into rage mode.
After a thorough investigation turns out they were from a wrong number. Poor guy.

The only question I got is, "anticipated… By whom?". 😀 I don't have any problem with "erotic" titles though. But judging from the screenshot the only ones who will find this erotic is the anime lovers…!
Used to be a big fan of anime but never played the games based on them. Maybe it's like that movie to video game thing and not very popular
I love my anime shows and games… However i'm not to fond of anime erotica… but hopefully they'll have a demo so i can try it b4 i decide if i should purchase it or not… Some half naked hot anime chick on the cover is not enough for me to buy the game… But the main reason i want to try this game is bc I love all of Atlus games and hopefully this one will be good too
