Typically, huge releases see a ton of extra copies – beyond the pre-orders – hit store shelves. But in a regular perusal of the retail locations in this area, we've found that Team Bondi's potential Game of the Year candidate is sold out all over the place. Out of five GameStop locations, all but one had no copies for anyone besides those who pre-ordered, Best Buy was sold out, and Target had exactly two copies left. Interestingly enough, according to one GameStop manager, the game is selling much faster than anticipated, which may explain its lack of availability…did Rockstar actually underestimate the widespread interest in this game? That seems extremely unlikely but even so, the fact remains: if you haven't picked up a copy yet, you may have difficulty finding one.
