Forget the damn official announcement. We know it's real.
And it helps when teaser trailers like this pop up. The following video just hit YouTube this weekend; it doesn't show us any game footage, but it features some radio chatter, the word "Am3rica," shots of New York City, and a big ol' "MW3" logo. If that's not enough to convince you Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is incoming, you're just in denial.
You will also hear mention of Manhattan on the radio and in general, any game that has fighting on our native soil gives us the chills (remember Homefront ?). Maybe that's the atmosphere CoD needed to appeal to those who haven't cared much about the franchise. Furthermore, with rumors of a "more epic scale" the whole way 'round, we're really hoping MW3 turns out to be one of the year's best.
Related Game(s): Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
Oy, with 3 studios working on this, it can either be really…really bad, or the best game ever. I will probably get suckered into buying it either way though. : (
Just so everyone knows what the Russian says at the end… "One will destroy the enemy's hope of victory."
Screw MW3!
LA NOIRE SOON!!!!
I kind of agree. I haven't been able to get really excited for anything beyond next Saturday thanks to Mr. Harold 'Not to be confused with the COD term' Camping. Nothing like a good ol' fashioned Apocalypse to come along and ruin an awesome gaming year. L.A. Noire is very tangible.
exactly, can't care less for MW3, all i need is LA Noire right now
yes, LA Noire. Damn the front lineup is good.

Yeah, MW3 comes out when again…
Wow! I'm actually quite surprised, i suddenly feel like this could be the cod I've wanted since cod 4. I'm hoping above all hope they make the single player campaign longer, a little more varied in gameplay and use the new destructible environment engine for interesting gameplay mechanics.
I really can't believe I'm actually considering it. I swore off call of duty, I'd be a huge hypocrite to myself and my friends if I were to get this.
One thing is for certain. Battlefield 3 will be my multiplayer shooter of choice, I just love the bigger maps and the tactics that go into winning each round. Might replace my copy of Black Ops on 360 with MW3. Got MW 2 on PS3 and I hardly played it. Sadly, many friends are big 360 supporters and always prefer Live over PSN, which is just such a shame, especially for our wallets.
Whoops, getting off track!
Yeah, this trailer and excellent news about changes to the formula might just be enough to make me a hypocrite and wanna get this game.
I just hope they bring back stealth missions and the satnav bombing and air attack missions from the first MW, really broke up the monotony of the game. Loved it!! MW 2 and Black Ops? Huge disappointment in my eyes compared to CoD 4.

I'm in the same boat in the same waters with you.
BF3 is still a purchase but having a brother who is one of them cows who are being milked dry by Infinity Ward I will be trying it.
I hope it's the game we've all been wanting since COD4, I hate talking so negative to a franshise that gave me the game that I put so much time in during the first days of owning a PS3(all I played was Warhawk for first month)
(played COD4 up until very early last year. That just goes to show How inferior COD4:MW was.
Sounded like makarov near the end.
Even though i HATED Blops, theres still a part of me thats very interested in finding out what happens to soap & price.
COD classic,MW1 & MW2's single player campaign were exciting on the edge of your seat sorta stuff so i may pick up MW3 if i'm bored at some point.

Hehe "Blops" hehe gets me everytime =)
Yah gotta love how theres no actual gameplay footage. Maybe they're afraid to show it when BF3 looked so good.
Or not, they did the same thng with a Modern Warfare 2 teaser two years ago. I don't think the top selling game of all time is afraid to show anything. COD fans don't care about graphics, they care about gameplay. Battlefied is beautiful though I'm sure I'll get both.
With you, Naztycuts. That Battlefield footage hasn't exactly stopped people from going to buy a game that looks considerably worse in Call of Duty: Black Ops.
Yeah, I didn't put much thought into that. I was "shooting from the hip" =p on that. But now looking down the sight, you're right 🙂
Totally man, they'll probably come out for MS at e3 and show some footage. Then they'll announce that they're extending their dlc exclusivity deal, and probably announce another Halo, L4D3, Alan Wake 2, Forza 3, and Gears 4 and then it'll be multiplats like last year.
Sony is definitely going to have to address the outage at e3 though, they'd never live down that elephant in the room, I wouldn't be surprised if full PSN functionality was an announcement. I'm willing to bet they have a few surprises for us in store as well. I can almost see Jack Tretton onstage now issuing a formal apology to the consumers with the welcome back program detailed and possibly lengthened.
Maybe, It's getting my attention after years of dissing on all CODs after COD4.
But I won't be surprised if it doesn't make a true gamer happy.
I think they can coexist. They both have different goals. Battlefield's more tactical and CoD is more frenetic. Like Virtua Fighter and Tekken, GTA(4) and Saint's Row, or Gran Turismo and Motorstorm. Sure, you can label them under the same genre, but they aren't really the same game.
There are 3 more teaser videos. 3ngland, Franc3 and G3rmany!
Just by watching a video like this you know in the back of your head that there will be millions and millions of people buying this and that can create pressure on you in to buying the game simply because everyone else is doing it. I have proof of such thing.

Yup, I thought it would be interesting for some of you.
Im not gonna lie, that does look pretty sick. i might actually have to at least rent it. i mean i got mw1 and mw2, why not finish off right?
blops was so mediocre, didnt bother with that :/
what got me excited was the america, i mean if it was another middle easter thing, i probs woulda gone for BBC3, coz that looks pretty sick.
i'll see…
I really enjoy the single player in COD games despite the terrible plots and confusing stories. I know I'll enjoy the single player but from now on I will always expect the worst when it comes to COD MP because they've gotten worse and worse since COD4.
im going 2 get this. hands down.
i had faith in treyarch, but they showed that they don't have the creativity to take the lead in the franchise.
CoD4 (arguably the best call of duty) and MW2 were both IW games, and they take the steps forward in the franchise. MW3 is sure to impress.
BF3, MW3, UC3, LA noire, ACRevelations… damn its PACKED this year!
60 bucks for COD is overrated, so as my ex, lol., just kidding, don't have one yet.
I don't feel excited for this like I did WaW and MW2, so for now, meh it's low on my priority list.
Unless they show something groundbreaking with the tech or story, etc. like EA did with Battlefield 3, I'll actually care.
I think the tech is suppose to be the same old thing and that the story is going to wrap up pervious events. What 'events' those where, I have no clue, because I don't remember a damn thing from the story. =(
No interest here.

Bland Teaser
*Farts*
I bet that blue Dino-tot farts them in berry Kool-aid scent.
MW3 will be fun to play. Yeah I'll pick it up without even having to see game footage because I know what to expect. BF3 on the other hand I'll wait till I see PS3 footage and see how the game play is. A game can have amazing graphics but if the game play sucks then its not worth it. With each CoD selling better and better each year it shows that people care more about game play than graphics.
Green… pretty. Too bad the game won't be that colourful. Wait, am I posting on another CoD thread?
DISLIKE!
Well… good for them.
Who cares? It's just another Xbox 360 port from Bobby Kotick and his boot lickers. I'll stick with LA Noire, inFamous 2, Resistance 3 and Uncharted 3. All better games than CoD:MW3 will ever be.

Don't forget Sly 4! I'm on the last level on 3, and I'm suddenly unbelievably pumped for Sony to bust down the door with a fourth game at E3! Please, let it happen.
I'd love to see Sly 4. I'd love to hear an announcement for it next month at E3, too.
sorry to burst your bubble but sly 4 is a NGP title.
its not being developed by suckerpunch either.
Don't be a downer, you. Sanzaru Games did a decent enough job of the port, even if the Move minigames are crap. Feel the excitement, bro!
who said im not excited?
i am, im just disappointed SP wont be working on it.
i asked if infamous 2 would be the last game and they told me if it sells well, and fans want more thats what we will give them.
i cant see them going onto anything else anytime soon, infamous is too popular.
not saying sly 4 will be a bad game, but id much rather see it on ps3 and under the hands of SP, then on NGP and under someone else.
Haha, yes! This just made my night.
Modern Warfare 3 is officially confirmed, and I am excite! 😀
The trailer reminds me of something that I note in most games. There are pretty much four or five people that voice all the none major characters. This might not be bad in a squad but when there are hundreds of people running around with the same voice yelling the same three lines over and over and over again. It sorta bugs me.
As for MW3, sorta peaks interest but not enough that I feel obligated to buy the game. My level of care is still pretty low.
I dont understand why people hate COD so much, the only reason I can think of is the campagins are a little short or they just really suck at online play. I loved both MW and MW2 they were great online is awesome and the campaign is great little short but still thrilling. The only thing I hate about activision is that they release dlc early for MS which is really lame, thats my only complaint I have.
I believe it has something to do with the ratio of quality to popularity. The quality of CoD is pretty low when compared to many games and it fails to do any major upgrades between squeals. Yet it is basically the most popular game ever.
This leads other companies to follow suit and fail to upgrade any copy off of CODs formula. This would have been okay a few years ago when 4 came out but the industry is till stuck in the same mindless slump ever since. It also leads to the 'westernization' of many older franchises. Ultimately CoD is creating a pool of low quality copies, destroying beloved older franchises and preventing new original IPs from forming.
Therefore people that support original, quality games rail against CoD.
saw some pics of it yesterday.
if real color me impressed!
maybe IW are finally ready to break away from the mold, and actually give us something new for a change!
I hate it when games put numbers in their names/taglines like this. It just makes it look so much more stupid, so every time I see an MW3 article from now on I'm just gonna say to myself, "Hey look, its Am-three-rica." Yeah, its not catchy, but I refuse to speak something that looks so stupid.
Same applies to FE-three-AR too.
